Sorry I don't know golf terminology but isn't the point to keep the score lower in golf? nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #6 nightc1, Nov 12, 2014 Last edited: Nov 12, 2014 Looks like it's just a par for each level (the number of balls given) and you play until you can't complete a hole. Guess we'll know more tonight when it launches or the nimblebit folks stop by. It doesn't look like there is a score. It's just the hole number in the top left. I think the only point is to survive to the next hole by staying at par or under. EDIT: Oh wait, I see now in the top right it keeps track of the score. Eh, I guess if it just keeps going without the option for a new game then the only way to reset is to just delete the game and re-install. eeenmachine Well-Known Member Oct 24, 2008 2,414 3 36 Independent Game Developer San Diego, CA http://nimblebit.com #7 eeenmachine, Nov 12, 2014 So your score is the total course par in the top right. If you really screw up a hole you have the option to retry the hole after completing it to improve your score (which does display a skippable video ad). rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #8 rIcHrAnDoM, Nov 12, 2014 Last edited: Nov 12, 2014 I've been playing since yesterday (thanks for the promo on Twitter) and when I click to retry a hole the game crashes out and when I come back in my stroke count is one more than when it crashed. I'm curious if it's possible to replay for example course 1 although i'm at course 12. because at the beginning I didn't realise that I have to replay every single course to get a better score. Now it seems like I can't go back to the first courses?! rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #11 rIcHrAnDoM, Nov 12, 2014 I don't see anyway to go back. I uninstalled, and removed my info from GameCenter, came back and my +5 stroke total is still there. rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #12 rIcHrAnDoM, Nov 12, 2014 Yep, all better, thanks toptrops Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2014 269 0 0 #13 toptrops, Nov 12, 2014 Game Impressions Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel LordGek Well-Known Member Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Feb 19, 2009 12,282 141 63 Software QA Engineer Saratoga, CA, USA #14 LordGek, Nov 12, 2014 So you created thousands of courses or they're randomly generated? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #15 psj3809, Nov 12, 2014 Is there a way to buy it to get rid of any ads? rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #16 rIcHrAnDoM, Nov 12, 2014 You'll get no ads unless you choose to replay a hole. To answer your question (I know you didn't ask me) there is no IAP to get rid of them. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #17 psj3809, Nov 12, 2014 No worries. Weird decision imo MasonHurst Well-Known Member Jan 9, 2013 429 0 0 #19 MasonHurst, Nov 12, 2014 I like the way it is set up to punish you with an ad if you screw up and want a do-over on a hole. At least they are acknowledging that in game ads are actual punishment. speeed Well-Known Member Dec 28, 2010 140 11 18 #20 speeed, Nov 12, 2014 So.. I got like 100+ strokes on hole ~60, looks like I'll never be able to get any of the achievements. Should be a option to start over for the obsessive type player..
