Leave the dusty halls of an abandoned clock tower to haunt your way through a town in the dead of night! Possess objects with your ghostly soul, to scare people away from a museum, a hospital, a theatre and a cruise ship. Will you be able to scare everyone out and reclaim what has been lost, before the night is over? === REVIEWS === "The visuals are gorgeous, with a unique style which is both cute and creepy at the same time. The audio is also impressive, boasting effective spot effects and some genuinely amusing sounds." - PocketGamer "Spending even a mere couple of hours in Terrortown is worth the price of admission. The game is a good reminder that cute ghosts aren't necessarily friendly." - 148Apps.com "There's a surprisingly dark heart beating away inside this cheery little Halloween special. There's a genuine sense of mischief, too, conveyed by the bug-eyed howls of your prey and the looping, lilting tones of the jazz-club soundtrack." - Eurogamer Information Seller:SFB Games Genre:Action, Puzzle Release:Oct 29, 2014 Updated:Aug 07, 2024 Version:1.4.5 Size:183.7 MB TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating: (2) Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal APP SPY HANDS-ON: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ltKF8oVOlg (Youtube tag never works with me) rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #2 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 30, 2014 Hmm.. It's really a funny game where you should scare people away from the house. As a ghost you can manipulate almost everything inside your house, such as lamp, candle light, piano, harp, dining table, etc. At the beginning, you can't do much action to scare out the people. Try to make some creepy action to increase the spooky atmosphere. When you got enough scary skill, you can do more creepy action such as make monster shape, make horn sound, piano sound, etc. However, always remember to make those people scared away from your house not let them suicide PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #4 PeteOzzy, Oct 30, 2014 It wasn't out until early this morning and I figure I'm allowed to sleep at some point lol. Anyway...This is a fun game. A little light in the actual strategy and it only lasts about 45 minutes including the little replay value. It looks great though and the sounds are fun as you torment people. You basically possess objects and use each items abilities until every one has left the area. It's good for the price considering I paid double that on Steam but I know plenty will find it lacking. It's a port of the Steam version released in June and not a game made only to be released before Halloween. Anyway, I've been waiting for it since I saw the App Spy's Hands On. I like the mechanic (I always wanted to be a ghost, to haunt a house and to scare people), the sense of humor and the art style. The art style reminds me Beat Sneak Bandit which took me back to those good old Cartoon Network shows like Dexter's Laboratory. Bought it already, but I'll wait to play it once I'm with the iPad. Would have got it a lot more coverage if it came out before the post. rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #8 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 30, 2014 Oh, ok. I didn't know the game had previously released. I just assumed it was a game designed for iOS for the Halloween season. Thanks for clearing that up. Anyone know what GC is used for here? If there is a large ranging scoring mechanic then that alone could lend heavily to replay value. I really appreciate this game, despite it being fairly straightforward. It is very well made, the quality factor is quite high. And, as another post noted, Beat Sneak Bandit vibes present all over the place here. An easy recommend. SFBTom New Member Nov 29, 2013 3 0 0 #15 SFBTom, Oct 31, 2014 Hello, dev of the game here! Thanks for the kind words! I didn't know there was an 'Out Now' post! I'm super new to the App Store, we've only released Detective Grimoire in the past, and I had no idea what I was doing then either! I released this one manually by hitting the button during the evening of Wednesday here in the UK. I'd heard that Apple update the store every Thursday, so I wanted to hit that. The game then took until the following morning, about 10 hours later, to actually show up in the store at all, I was getting super worried. I'll definitely hit that button well in advance next time. What's actually a good time to hit it do you think? Luckily, Apple's featured us in the Best New Games slot, which is really lovely of them! So it's not all bad! Vovin ð® Spam Police ð Nov 28, 2009 6,514 3 38 Germany #16 Vovin, Oct 31, 2014 You should better set a fixed release date! The app has to be already approved by Apple when that date is reached. Then the app will release exactly at the given date and time. Contrary, the immediate release when you punch the release button. Your app slides into a line and will be processed for release. That can take several hours or even half a day. merrickal Well-Known Member Dec 15, 2012 52 0 6 #17 merrickal, Oct 31, 2014 Is there any new content in this game compared to its flash cousin? rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #18 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 31, 2014 What is GameCenter used for, just achievements or leaderboards too? wasabipeas Member Jan 27, 2013 13 0 0 #19 wasabipeas, Oct 31, 2014 I judged and nominated this game in the art category in the IGF! the amount Of work that went into this game is amazing !
