I have played this for an hour by now and for me its the best brickbreaker since a long time. Graphics reminds me to 'Smash Hit', very polished and nice. The gameplay is awesome and every new level is full of fresh gameplay ideas. The electronic soundtrack fits perfect and the controls a precisly. No IAPs. But also no iCloud oder Mfi Controller. I really recommend this!!! 5/5 coolpepper43 👮 Spam Police 🚓 Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #5 coolpepper43, Oct 29, 2014 I will be getting this soon as it's released. The brick physics are really unique and add a whole new challenge to the game. With no iap and at a single dollar, it's hard to see where anyone could go wrong. If you like brick breakers, drop the buck, this adds some new dimensions to the original mechanics of the genre. badgerAnt New Member May 7, 2014 4 0 0 #17 badgerAnt, Oct 30, 2014 Tried to download for my IPod Touch 5th Gen but a message said "not compatible with device"? rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #18 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 30, 2014 First off I haven't actually made up my mind on a rating for Grey Cubes, I have rated it five stars here for now to offset whatever jackarse randomly rated it three stars without any comments or feedback. It's at least a 4 star game for me, if not a 5. I played this for about an hour and a half straight last night (woke up with my iPhone on my chest), I only made it to like level 11 or 12 out of 60! The game is pretty straight forward as far as the general "rules" of brick-breakers go: start with three balls, swipe or tap to release ball from paddle, drag paddle with one finger to move etc. The first several levels are a fairly standard affair as the bricks are laid out in a set pattern when you start. The moment you realize this isn't your run-of-the-mill BB is when you hit your first brick. Each brick has independent physics. This honestly makes for some crazy/frantic gameplay; that's a good thing. It takes a couple of hit to turn the bricks to grey then break them and when you've got 20-30 of them all being batted around by the game ball(s) things can get chaotic/fun. As you get past the introductory stages you start to notice new gameplay elements being introduced such as multi-tiered stage areas, wider areas, columns lifting/pushing the bricks around etc. The devs did a great job of introducing new concepts at a moderate pace. I'd say if you're a fan of brick-breakers then you don't want to miss this one. If you're a fan of physics in games, an arcade game high-score chaser, or one who likes a new spin on old classics, you'll want to check out Grey Cubes. The game is only a dollar, highly polished and no iaps. Well worth it for me. Richard ROGER-NL Well-Known Member May 21, 2012 4,030 340 83 Male Gamer. Game Center and all. xStatiCa Well-Known Member Aug 4, 2009 590 0 16 #20 xStatiCa, Oct 30, 2014 This game is an instabuy for me. The real physics aspect really looks interesting in the video. I hope they release level packs (IAP is ok for new level packs to me) in the future to keep it going. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
