The one man developer has potential from his first game a "flappy bird" type free quick high score maze game he had shown a vast improvement. I would love to see where he goes next. Check this out and support an indie developer. Leegames Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2010 1,083 0 0 Ex. game journalist and EiC now PR Denmark #5 Leegames, Oct 23, 2014 This game seems amazing. But I am already stuck at "The Moment". The room with torches and water "that flows southeast". Nothing happens no matter what I try. Please anyone? The blue book page 5/9 in this talks "about the thing that all other things devours". So I am guessing that is the flood, since it mentions water and the wizard (in the picture on the wall) needs to see his reflection. This is the level right after the pianos. I am totally missing something? Vague clues don't enlighten me in this level. There are four torches a statue a mirror and a picture on the wall. And I have no idea what to do with them. Tried to turn one of and vice versa in the south east corner etc... Am I really that stupid? I sure feel like it. 20hearts Member Apr 12, 2012 20 0 0 #8 20hearts, Oct 23, 2014 Tons of respect for 1 person dev teams (guess that makes it not a team). Bought! Okay got the witches book and read it again, thanks. But 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00. Hopefully that does not mean the game is unplayable till then? I still need help, I think. Edit: Seem it did. Not really fond of messing with my settings, but had to. The game is too nice not to. Vovin ð® Spam Police ð Nov 28, 2009 6,514 3 38 Germany #10 Vovin, Oct 23, 2014 How long is the game? I like the game but I won't change my system settings for it or any other app. And without doing so, seems unlikely I'll be waiting around with it for an exact external time, especially since all are during work hours. Kind of a bummer. Was fun to this point. Ogre Pixel Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 221 8 18 http://www.ogrepixel.com #16 Ogre Pixel, Oct 24, 2014 Ooh I see, well in that level I tried yo make some kind of "different" puzzle I remember when I first developed that level it there was just 1 hour in the whole day when you could pass, then beta-testers told me to add more chances I'll keep in mind this situation for future releases, thanks geoelectric Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2010 464 22 18 San Jose, CA #17 geoelectric, Oct 24, 2014 I'll keep an eye out for updates, then. I appreciate a good fourth-wall puzzle (Metal Gear Solid has some classics) but not time-based ones. They interfere with my ability to play when I want. Even Animal Crossing's day/night mechanic messes up the game for me, so an "exactly at top of the hour" mechanic is a dealbreaker, even if there are three hours to choose from. And since you're not the only app on the system and the system does multitask, changing the system time is a non-starter. It'll potentially affect apps running in the background, and I'm too unlikely to remember to undo it. I really liked the unusual chaotic approach to hints and tips, and the range of puzzles. The option to backtrack to read up on missed books is a nice touch. 'The Moment' puzzle is indeed rather unfriendly, after a couple of missed opportunities I set the alarm to get me back into the game in time.. An odd benefit of a puzzle like that is that it really made me study the hints; all following puzzles required little effort. I'd love to see the tower have some more levels, though. Perhaps some puzzles with a stronger tie-in with the backstory of battling races. Or some puzzles that link switches on different floors. Ogre Pixel Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 221 8 18 http://www.ogrepixel.com #20 Ogre Pixel, Oct 26, 2014 Yeah that kind of "multi level puzzles" would be something really good. When I started the game, the idea was that each level would have the clues on the same floor and that there would be no way back. After some testing people suggested to allow the player to go back and place the clues in different floors (adding dificulty and forcing the player to read all the texts), at that time I modified the game in order to allow this... I will take it in mind for a second version or for future releases. Thank you (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
