Is that true or i can give this one a shot ? (I never played any of DQ games in 2D. I want to start with the best, thanks) Shaun Musgrave Well-Known Member Jul 8, 2013 1,088 3 38 Freelance writer, teacher, business owner Ibaraki, Japan #3 Shaun Musgrave, Oct 8, 2014 If you want to start with the best, DQII probably isn't the place to start. Wait for DQIII, or pick up DQIV, or start with DQI and work through DQII while you wait for DQIII. My favorite is DQV but that's going to be a little while longer. GreedPhantom Well-Known Member Jul 9, 2014 1,013 0 0 France https://www.facebook.com/nagui.cherigui #4 GreedPhantom, Oct 8, 2014 Thanks Shaun. I can wait. But i think i'll start with the IV or the III. I'm on the edge but i can't choose yet :/ Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #5 Exact-Psience, Oct 8, 2014 Im really happy that these classics arent as high-tier priced as the FF titles. Shaun Musgrave Well-Known Member Jul 8, 2013 1,088 3 38 Freelance writer, teacher, business owner Ibaraki, Japan #6 Shaun Musgrave, Oct 8, 2014 I'm interested to see what they do with DQ3. DQ1 was free, then 300 yen, which they converted to $2.99. DQ2 was 500 yen, converted to $4.99, it seems. DQ3 is 1200 yen, but I just can't see them charging $11.99 for it outside Japan. I mean, the game is worth more than double DQ2 in my opinion, but I've seen enough DQ sales numbers over the years to know my opinion doesn't fit reality that well in the West, haha. I have DQ8 on my phone but haven't started it yet. I've never played a DQ game. I was more of a FF guy back in the day. Should I just start with the first DQ or play DQ8 because I already have it installed? I'm not allowed to bank weeks, if I don't spend it, I lose it, but I'm on a 10 dollar a week iOS allowance. jesse_dylan Well-Known Member Jun 4, 2014 105 0 0 #15 jesse_dylan, Oct 8, 2014 So excited! I still haven't finished my DQII Game Boy Color playthrough, so I guess I better finish that first! Still buying this immediately, though. So did they fix the sprite scaling for this one like they did for III, or is it goofy like 1? I hope they go back and fix 1. Shaun Musgrave Well-Known Member Jul 8, 2013 1,088 3 38 Freelance writer, teacher, business owner Ibaraki, Japan #16 Shaun Musgrave, Oct 8, 2014 The sprite scaling is still off in this one. I hope they fix both at some point, but DQ1's been out almost a year now in Japan with no fix, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #17 nightc1, Oct 8, 2014 As an NES gamer back in the day I loved DQ1 to pieces but DQ2 is the game that made me love the series more than any other RPG. I may just have to pick this up tonight... though I have other means for playing it, it might be nice having it on my phone as well. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,486 2 36 Houston, TX #18 undeadcow, Oct 8, 2014 Looking forward to picking up Dragon Quest II; never played it... ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #19 ojtitus, Oct 8, 2014 Nice surprise!
