If you are then they definitely look similar but ICN was a time management game and this is more of a line-drawing puzzler. Well remembered though, didn't think anyone noticed that game; was actually pretty fun! It looks like this game takes some inspiration from the awesome Trainyard. If it's anywhere near as good, it'll definitely be worth picking up! slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Houston, TX #5 slewis7, Sep 24, 2014 Good call, McGee. It definitely has some of the Trainyard vibe. IMO, Trainyard is the best puzzle game I have played on IOS. I like the looks of RGB Express and I will be picking it up. I am also hopeful that the long announced Trainyard 2 is still forthcoming. mj132 Well-Known Member Oct 2, 2013 354 5 18 United Kingdom #6 mj132, Sep 24, 2014 Yes I did and play it quite a bit it wasn't too bad and quite fun, will have to give this one a try too. Keep the feedback coming, we are here also to listen to all criticism and ideas for future updates! We tried to do our best not to make a copy of Trainyard. Me and the graphician Antti consider Trainyard to be one of the all time best games on iOS and it was certainly one role model for RGB Express, but you can pretty quickly see that there's more differences than trains vs trucks in the gameplay. We must admit the gameplay mechanics of RGB Express don't offer the same level of versatility in solving the puzzles as Trainyard, but we hope that RGB Express also finds its fans. Some puzzle game fans in our beta tester group already spent some 20-30+ hours with the game. Here's a few promo codes for you who want to try out the game but feel the $2.99 is too big investment . I'm enjoying it so far ! The game is really well polished and cute. P Gameplay is simple at the beginning but offer some challenge. I love the fact you can cancel one truc ride by double taping on it. Progression is really smooth and casual player won't get stuck too quickly. But Most puzzle fans will get real challenge after the 4 first towns. The challenge is evolutive and it keep it fresh. I'm curious about the most difficult levels, I assume it will mix all the stuff we encounter during the previous levels with big towns. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #12 coolpepper43, Sep 25, 2014 That is the exact way I feel. It's extremely well polished with great graphics and perfect controls and really fun puzzle game mechanic. This game is perfect for more casual puzzlers at first but eventually it's gets challenging for more experienced puzzler. Super fun and recommended. I just wish that it got more challenging earlier in the game. 4.5 stars! slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! I find the difficulty progression a bit spiky in that some later levels are really easy compared to ones before but I just got to one that has me well and truly stumped in London. Once you get the bridge switches, mid-way drop off points and routes where you need to use 2 trucks of the same colour but for picking up only specific cargo to drop later mixed all together it's a real head scratcher! Let's see if coming back with a fresh eye lets me get past this level EDIT: sort of helped. Breezed past the one I was stuck on and the next 3 or 4 but London H-10 has got me now Game reminds me a bit of Spacechem tho not as brain bustingly complex (yet) Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #17 Misguided, Sep 25, 2014 Great game! Lovers of trainyard and similar games should snatch this up. @Marcus-BC I love that you can see where all the trucks will be when drawing paths. Any chance of implementing that same sort of approach for other elements like buttons, switches, etc? For many levels (at least the ones I saw), there are clearly many variants of working solutions. Is there a way to tell if my solution is the "optimal" solution such as being defined by the shortest total distance travelled by all of the trucks? mr_bez Well-Known Member Dec 20, 2012 2,053 3 38 #20 mr_bez, Sep 26, 2014 I've got a bit obsessed with this, with 185 levels completed today! The later levels get really tough, although I don't think I've seen any new mechanics for over 100 levels now. I can't decide if having something which shows you if you have the shortest solution to a level would be better or not. I'm sure that I wouldn't be powering through quite so quickly, but I think that slower progress might take away some of the joy and make it less appealing to the more casual (i.e. less obsessive!) crowd. Not sure if GC achievements are on the cards, but there's scope for some imaginative bonus challenges here, e.g.: Complete a level without using all trucks. Drop off and pick up the same brick 4 times while completing a level. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
