I'll look this up online and see if it's any good. Doesn't look bad at all. TicTac Well-Known Member Sep 7, 2011 788 20 18 #5 TicTac, Sep 24, 2014 Looks like a pixelated version of Kingdom Rush. HansKaosu Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2013 503 1 0 #6 HansKaosu, Sep 24, 2014 Looks similar art style. Kingdom Rush has just "smaller pixels" aconfusedkender Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2012 1,362 122 63 Oil & Gas Kendermore, Ansalon #7 aconfusedkender, Sep 24, 2014 If this is anything like Demons vs Fairyland then I'm all over it!!! I absolutely loved Demons vs Fairyland and don't think it got enough hype. I played through that game and unlocked everything even after they released an update that made it even more awesome! This looks like a great TD game to take it's place. This is one of the 3 big Flash based TD games that all get consistently amazing reviews and I find it to sit in a really nice little niche of its own. The other two Kingdon Rush and sequel along with Gemcraft (I think the newest iteration is coming to iOS gemcraft labyrinth). Anyway, they all had their own differences and subtleties that made them great and unique. The 2nd cursed treasure fixed basically any complaint I had with the first one. I was about halfway through it on armor games when I saw they were going to make it for iOS, and I just stopped and waited. I highly recommend it. nemerleb Well-Known Member Jan 19, 2013 544 0 0 #12 nemerleb, Sep 24, 2014 That came out of nowhere! Demons VS Fairyland is a pretty basic TD game but I also love it. It is such a great game. This would one is probably going to be an Instabuy. EDIT: Oh wow, available in teh PH already. Downloading. TicTac Well-Known Member Sep 7, 2011 788 20 18 #14 TicTac, Sep 25, 2014 So any impressions? I'm desperate to get my kingdom rush clone fix but I don't want to spend any more money on TDs that don't come close to KR. I absolutely love TD games and this looks pretty unique, especially the art. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #16 L.Lawliet, Sep 25, 2014 Can anyone tell me what's special about this game? I played the first level on armorgames just to give it a try and aside from the menus, I didn't see anything special (though I've barely played it). The first level was a bit boring for me and although it's cool you can place towers only on their own land, it seems limiting. And there's only 3 with branching paths? Doesn't seem so deep to me unfortunately. I also liked the art but the animation was weird. Watching the standard enemy walking toward the base didn't seem to match the nice graphics everywhere else. Anyhow, that's just my impression for one level. I'm just curious what I'm missing about it. Stingy Tower Member May 25, 2014 10 0 0 #17 Stingy Tower, Sep 25, 2014 This. Only found about it today but it looked like it had some Kingdom Rush level quality. I'm waiting off on paying 3$ until I can read some reviews though. Please let the game be good so I can forget about that awful Alien Creeps TD. Montanx Well-Known Member Mar 3, 2012 1,110 6 38 San Diego #18 Montanx, Sep 25, 2014 Is this one of those premium games with tons of IAP? Really not fond of the games that sell optional power ups that basically clear the screen, like in KR2. Yea I know I don't have to use them but the option to annoys me. Or grow into... This one really shows it as it cribs every TD cliche since the early days of Tap Defence... Mine to create funds - check... Piggy bank - check, mana for desperation spells on bosses - check. Gems that have to be successfully carried away by the invader - check. And so on and so forth. It's like a homage to every TD game ever created with no personality of its own. One thing they did NOT give you is any exciting visuals... No devastating attacks and explosions and no vibrant colors (like Bloons for example). I know it's supposed to be charming but it just seems charmingly generic to me. Not too cartoony, not too hard- edged ... It's like they said " let's appeal to the masses, aim straight down the middle and not scare anyone off". Obviously I've become jaded but a touch pad is a natural for TD and I wonder if anyone can figure a way to get it out of its moribund state. No offense to the devs as this seems a very professional and workmanlike release. My rant here would also apply to a lot of TD games.
