Most puzzles have multiple solutions. The optimization will be defined by two factors: number of moves made to solve the puzzle, and the time taken to solve the puzzle (this will eventually come down to reflexes). Looks quite interesting but unclear on the mechanic. kinshuksunil Well-Known Member Feb 24, 2013 206 0 16 Male Makes Games at Hashstash India https://hashstash.in #11 kinshuksunil, Sep 17, 2014 No, it is not like Lights Out. The mechanic is very simple: you have to tap on an empty cell, to combine the huerons in adjacent cells (either vertically or horizontally). The puzzle is solved when all the huerons are combined into each other and only one hueron is left on the board. As you progress, new kinds of huerons are introduced who have different behaviors. Thus you need different strategies to combine them. Does that help? Duke12 Well-Known Member Oct 25, 2013 1,019 41 48 #12 Duke12, Sep 17, 2014 I did level 9 in 3 secs and only got 2 stars? The puzzles are very original and the difficulty is very well managed throughout the levels. One thing I noticed is, you can select any level from the menu and start off, regardless of whether you've completed the previous ones or not. I understand that sometimes, the players might not be able to solve all the puzzles. But giving the whole game open sort of reduces the need to solve each and every level, at least for me.. I guess a star rated system to unlock the next set of levels would have been nice.. like. Get 20 stars in the first 10 levels to unlock the next 10 and so on. Apart from this, I feel the game is great and I'm gonna spend many hours merging the huerons. Cheers. With Huerons we wanted the user to enjoy the whole experience of solving puzzles. The level system has been designed in such a way that each level prepares you for the next one, but still there are sometimes situations that a player might not be able to solve a particular level or a set of levels at a time and we didn't want that to be a bottleneck to his experience. He can take his time, solve a few other levels and come back to this level when he has a Eureka! moment So all the levels are playable from the start (even the levels which we'll provide as free updates later on) . There are no in-app purchases or pay yourself out of an unsolved level mechanism kinshuksunil Well-Known Member Feb 24, 2013 206 0 16 Male Makes Games at Hashstash India https://hashstash.in #20 kinshuksunil, Sep 18, 2014 To add: The game is more about enjoying puzzles. We didnt want to take the focus away from that. When I play a puzzle game, personally, I get easily frustrated if I get stuck at a level. Mostly, what all these 'stuck' levels need is a fresh mind - maybe a new day or a small break, but just because it stops my progression in the level, I have to leave the game and back to it later. In Huerons, what we have done is that you can simply move on to the next puzzle (and of course it will be difficult than the previous one) and you can come back to the puzzle you were stuck at later. This way you can keep enjoying the game and be intellectually challenged. But never does the game force a specific behavior on you. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
