Another one I'm excited for now, when does it stop?! Edit: Oh wow, I definitely recommend giving the free PC version a spin using the above link! It's a lane-based high-scoring racer Match 3 combo which is a little bit mental and a lot bit awesome! Your car is sticky, so passing the NPC vehicles attaches them to yours which is key to both scoring and dying. Hit a same-coloured car with another and you score, mismatch and you instantly fail. There are also coloured patches on the wall that allow you to crush the cars to score points but it's a lot easier said than done - it gets twitchy very fast and reminds me somewhat of Audiosurf, definitely going to be enjoying this one! PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #4 PeteOzzy, Sep 11, 2014 Dev was kind enough to give me a promo code for the iOS version and this is definitely seeming like a game that needs to be watched. I've already covered the gameplay basics above but it's the very definition of a game that's easy to play but tough to master. It's tough, definitely a good addition to anyone's Twitch folder and it takes some time to reign yourself in and resist pushing your luck but when things are working it all falls together beautifully. There are some permanent perks you can unlock with currency found during gameplay that promise longevity. They seem a little steep at first until you realise that the cheapest one increases your earning capacity pretty quickly and experience gained through repeat performances keeps you alive much longer. You're not going to master it in a short time though; the purchasable items offer quite dramatic increases to your capabilities so it's understandable why their kept out of grasp for the first few plays. I'm loving the Soviet-Tron theme going on too. It's all bright technicolour futurism with a touch of humour if you go looking for it, assuming you can let your concentration lapse enough to appreciate it! It's also nice to find a game that uses colour in a way that hasn't been affected by my colour-blindness. A small factor but an appreciated one nonetheless. I can definitely feel happy to recommend this, I was sold alone based from my time with the PC demo. The fluidity of success is addictive and the "oh crud" moments where you're approaching a gap too small to ever pass isn't frustrating at all. There's also Game Centre with acheivements for those that dig that kind of thing. Definitely a great week for twitch fans! amusing Grace Well-Known Member Dec 23, 2008 1,685 8 38 Music, Muse, Magick Berlin, Germany #5 amusing Grace, Sep 11, 2014 Great find Pete, i'm intrigued Hoggy110 Well-Known Member Jan 11, 2012 2,670 0 0 Student The rainbow-fuelled nightmare of my mind https://twitter.com/Hapmatic #6 Hoggy110, Sep 11, 2014 From what I've seen of this game (and Pete's words), this looks like something I'll pick up. If you take your eyes off of it for just a second; crash, you're out! ## Kapsula is a universal, puzzle/racer set in a Soviet space colony. ( Yes, that is a direct quote from the developers description.) Very sci fi with fun futuristic sounds. You race forward, moving right or left, among 7 lanes, collecting gems that you can spend on power ups later. There are other vehicles of different colors scattered throughout the track. When you race or drive right next to one, it automatically attaches itself to your side and others will attach to the sides of those ones as well. If your vehicle or the ones attached to you, crashes into another vehicle, then it's game over except for one exception. If you purposefully crash the vehicle into another car or a part of the wall that is the same color as itself, then it will detach or disappear. I really love the unique concept of this driving game. It's more than a race game, it's a little bit of a puzzler too. Unfortunately, although I really do truly love this game, I feel like there is a bit of a disadvantage when playing. There's always a bit of a challenge here. Which I think is fantastic. But, I've noticed that quite often, there might be a row of four cars next to each other sometimes all different colors, where it is almost always impossible for you to not drive next to them because of the vehicles in front of you. Then, no matter what, there is no spaces in front of you to go through safely with all those cars attached to you. I am not positive that I'm explaining this correctly. I believe there needs to be more randomization of the other vehicles on the track. Now, this is my personal experiences with the game. Maybe others do not have the same experiences I do. And if that's the case I'm sorry. I did have a few other people try who had the same experiences as I did. This is nothing more than constructive criticism. Because I still must say, the controls work very well and that this really is a fantastic game. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,971 722 113 England #8 psj3809, Sep 11, 2014 How about the controls though ? I've noticed that pointing out how the controls work instead of assuming, is something I need to work on. Thank you for that! It is just a basic tap. Controls are not visable. You just tap on the right side of the screen each time you want to go right and left side; left. I tried to do a swipe, but it doesn't work well. I have no issues with the controls unless I accidentally tap towards the center of the screen, in which case, movement is random. One thing I don't like though is how the camera behaves at some points. I'm not sure if it's an intentional part of the game, or just an unintentional quirk of how the camera is implemented, but there are some points where the camera will zoom ahead of the car, so that temporarily I can only see the nose of the car, or I can't even see it at all. When it does this I can't easily tell which lane the car is in, or what I'm about to hit, or what's attached to the car. This often can result in me crashing, for what feels like an unfair reason. The camera zooms back out after a second or two, but it's still annoying. It seems to be related to going over rises in the track I think.
