Tis here! I just hope timers, if any, dont stop me from playing, like in the original IM3 game, which only improved over time too. So much better if there arent any timers. sink_or_swim Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2012 3,504 5 38 Germany #4 sink_or_swim, Sep 10, 2014 There are timers. You have 5 hearts and you get 1 heart back every 10minutes. They fill your hearts automatically until you reach level 10 so you can play ~ an hour without waiting. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #5 NOEN, Sep 10, 2014 I forgot all about this one. I remember seeing the "hands on" during E3 and that was about it. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #8 Exact-Psience, Sep 10, 2014 Im with this. Why cant they just make it so that there's ads, there's coubler IAP that removes ads as well (or it can even be separate, as long as they can be "restored") and then just add IAP for more shortcut currency, and without secondary currencies? Jerutix Well-Known Member Nov 3, 2009 1,754 65 48 Male Ministry Oklahoma https://www.discord.gg/kingrabbit #9 Jerutix, Sep 10, 2014 Because you can make waaaaaaaaaaaay more $$$ off timers than off disabling ads. I mean, at most, someone might pay $5 to turn off ads, and that's only if the game is amazing. But if to refill my hearts is just a measly $1, and I'm impatient, and I am terrible at video games... the money is endless! But yeah, I'm not a fan of timers either, despite currently playing four games with them (5, after this comes out in the US, because there's no way I'm missing a Spider-Man runner). GregB Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2009 2,346 3 38 #10 GregB, Sep 10, 2014 Easy to say, "Oh, another runner," but dang - it makes so much sense for Spider Man! Looks awesome, free, and small footprint on my device. Sign me up . Can always delete if the timer scheme is over-obtrusive. PeteOzzy Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2013 4,596 3 0 Norwich, England #11 PeteOzzy, Sep 10, 2014 I've got to say, I'm enjoying this. I wasn't wanting it to be rubbish but I was most definitely prepared for it to be so I'm pleasantly surprised to find that it's far exceeding my expectations - it's not just a copy/paste runner with Marvel aesthetics. Of course, I wish it didn't have an energy system or at least had an option to remove it but it's not aggravating enough that I went to delete it after losing all my lives like I do with most of these games. The only real niggles I have with it are petty ones; the icon is frankly awful and it's a bit of a weird choice to return Fury to being Caucasian. The important things are there for me so far. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #12 redribbon, Sep 10, 2014 The Gameplay: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #13 andysmash, Sep 10, 2014 Looks like it has the same sort of thing that makes the TMNT runner so good - gameplay variety. Besides the energy system, this is a GREAT runner! There is enough changes is scenery that it never gets bored or grindy. Plus, you have a Story Mode AND an Endless Mode. Not sure what the Event thing is, but I'm only at a level 6 Spidey, so I'm still pretty early in the game. So far, I would totally recommend this anyone. It's free anyway, so it's definitely worth a try. amusing Grace Well-Known Member Dec 23, 2008 1,685 8 38 Music, Muse, Magick Berlin, Germany #15 amusing Grace, Sep 10, 2014 Last edited: Sep 10, 2014 I'm pleasently surprised, too. In fact, I like much more than the Iron Man runner. The timer seems to kick in after you reach level 10, so I'm going to upgrade all my Spider Men to at least level nine via endless before I proceed with the story. Edit: skip the last part, I gonna tackle story mode as long as I have unlimited timer energy. You don't seem to level up if you don't succeed in the mission. Bought one new Spider Man in the meantime and fused another one two times which levels them up. I wonder why no one has made a Star Wars endless runner? That universe is custom made for it. Echoen Well-Known Member May 16, 2012 2,114 3 38 USA #17 Echoen, Sep 10, 2014 Wasn't a great first load. Timers don't bother me, yes of course not having them and the option to buy to remove them is better for those days when your off work. But generally when I have work I don't have an hour to sit and play a game, when I do I want to play a few games usually not just the same one. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #20 Exact-Psience, Sep 10, 2014 The Good: The gameplay is just superb for an auto-runner which has been a lackluster genre as of late. The Bad: Timers of course. There's stamina system, and 1 run takes 1 stamina. What's worse is that each stage takes only about 1 minute or 2 to complete, and each stamina recovers every 10 minutes.
