Use your headphones." Having no crosshairs (you shoot/aim the middle of the screen) is something to get used to but everything else is spot on, and so are the controls ! For free and this little size a must-try for all shooter fans, no doubt. GenerallyEpic New Member Nov 20, 2013 2 0 0 #4 GenerallyEpic, Jul 25, 2014 Still not available in the US.... I'm bummed now, I was developing a game somewhat like this. XD phoboslab Member Apr 27, 2011 8 0 0 #5 phoboslab, Jul 25, 2014 Last edited: Jul 25, 2014 That was some horrible timing on my end. I apologize :/ The game was actually intended to be released on monday (with an accompanying blog post etc.). There was some screw up with iTunes Connect - I thought I pulled it from the store fast enough before anyone would notice, but apparently I didn't. Sorry about that. Xibalba should be back in the AppStore now! (Edit: seems to be still missing in some stores; check again in a few minutes please) Again, sorry about the confusion. I promise the game will stay available now apg698 New Member Jul 25, 2014 1 0 0 #6 apg698, Jul 25, 2014 It's back up in the UK. Really good game, and the controls are spot on. Does it have mfi support? If not is it something that you might add? Rennerd Well-Known Member Apr 30, 2014 82 0 0 #7 Rennerd, Jul 25, 2014 Still not out in Canada. EDIT: Never mind, sorry. Not that ANYONE is complaining but how come the game is free? The graphics look more 8-bit rather than dooms 32-bit or 16bit (I forgot which one doom was) graphics. The music was enjoyable but the game play is what you're looking for, not anything else. 5 stars from me Edit: forgot to mention that I wish more levels were added but the game is still good either way. JRich865 Member Feb 10, 2013 10 0 0 #13 JRich865, Jul 26, 2014 Was pleasantly surprised to see how fun the gameplay was. Wasn't expecting much, but I think the control scheme is well done. Forgive me, but I do have to wonder why free though? No ads, no IAP as far as I can see. Just a well done, treat. EvilArev Well-Known Member Mar 24, 2011 122 0 0 #19 EvilArev, Jul 26, 2014 After initial troubles with downloading Xibalba, I was finally able to get and play it last evening. I'm amazed how refreshing the experience is! First person shooter always struggle with controls on touch devices. Here, however, it all works great. We don't get to look up/down because of it, but who really cares if they shoot pixel monsters in the chest or in the head. It's a small step back, but a one that really compliments the virtual controls. Crawling in the corridors, getting excited by huge monsters around the corner got me thinking... Why do we chase those superior graphics so much? What we've had for over two decades is still working! TL;DR: Anyone even remotely interested in first person shooters, and not scarred away by the pixels, should definitely get Xibalba. @phoboslab: A question was already asked indirectly - what about the monetization? Will this game get some more love for the money? Or perhaps it's a training project? If so it's a complete success, imo! Congratulations and thanks for a great game (of time-traveling, too)! I hope I can fix this soon. I'm not sure yet if/how I'll monetize the game. It's mostly meant as promotion for my HTML5 Game Engine Impact , so it will stay free for at least few weeks if not ever. I may add some IAP later one - maybe I can get a multiplayer mode working (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
