Anyone seen the trailer of their next game Civilisation. Beyond Earth? http://www.gamespot.com/videos/sid-meier-s-civilization-beyond-earth-announcement/2300-6418289/ I'd love to have that on ios. All about space colonisation and alien planets. Wow! I think this is the last for this world. Space is the next frontier. I might get this today. Jake7905 Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2013 1,004 0 0 #12 Jake7905, Jul 2, 2014 This Civ game was developed by 2K, with no sign of Firaxis. That's my other hesitation here, besides price. wildcardd Member Apr 16, 2009 20 0 0 #13 wildcardd, Jul 2, 2014 Why are the controls terrible? RinoaHeartily Well-Known Member Dec 12, 2010 1,715 10 38 #14 RinoaHeartily, Jul 2, 2014 Lol controls terrible really?? The first one was excellent Dman Member May 14, 2012 6 0 1 #15 Dman, Jul 2, 2014 Love this game!! I'm SO surprised how great the game is considering I'm playing on a 3.5 in. Screen!!! They really took the time to make this a premium mobile game experience. Dman Member May 14, 2012 6 0 1 #16 Dman, Jul 2, 2014 That hasn't been my experience... And I'm even playing on an iPhone 4S!! It's been REALLY smooth LordGek Well-Known Member Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Feb 19, 2009 12,282 141 63 Software QA Engineer Saratoga, CA, USA #17 LordGek, Jul 2, 2014 So nearly identical to Civ Rev 1 but with a better UI, graphics, and the concept of little quest/goals for little Civ wide bonuses (like found 2 more cities within 30 turns for a bonus). Firaxis is also on the splash screen. They're definitely involved. This game is largely based on Civ Rev 1, built from the ground up for touch screen devices rather than being a port of the Nintendo DS version this time around. With just an hour or so under my belt, it looks like they didn't fix what wasn't broken, improved the console version's free DLC challenges and scenarios system (now called Live Events) and brought the presentation much closer to the console versions of the original. I will say that some of the touch regions-- especially the very first one they ask you to tap in the tutorial-- are a bit small on an iPhone, but it's silky smooth so far and a noticeable improvement over the first game. No regrets. (You must log in or sign up to post here.) Show Ignored Content Page 1 of 10 1 ← 2 3 4 5 6 → 10 Next > Share This Page Tweet Your name or email address: Password: Forgot your password?
