Graphically its not the best looking game but gameplay wise it really gets its hooks in to you! Here is what Rock paper Shotgun said: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/03/13/qvadriga-turnbased-racing-game-review/ The iOS and Android versions are exactly the same - nothing cut out. A few typos also. All of this is easily fixed though... Oh and some of the buttons are ridiculously small - like they've been designed for an iPhone but implemented in an iPad-only game. Please scale these up a bit; I shouldn't have to struggle to hit a button ;-) Finally, 'In Game', I could really do with a popup 'Legend' explaining what each of the orders mean and what they accomplish; it seems I have to somehow commit it all to memory at the moment? And they're a bit 'tricky'; the game was awaiting orders as I was zoomed out, so I zoomed in and inadvertently touched the 'Orders' bar so the turn commenced. There should be a 'Confirmation' or 'Go' button after each set of orders in static mode... At the end of the race, the results are shown in an almost microscopic list on the bottom left of the screen, each 'team' with a 'Roman' name, so I have no idea even who I was. I may have missed it; was there an opportunity to name my 'team' earlier on? And then pressing 'X' to exit the results screen crashed the app. Having said all this, I'm enjoying the concept - very refreshing gameplay. I just think the UI needs a bit (alot) of love. Great idea, clever strategy game... but it really looks and feels like a pre-release right now. lets see where it stand amongst the other 9.99 price point. since from the graphics wise i prefer to spent my money on broken age instead. well perhaps ill change my mind...later.
It does seem expensive vs the quality of some of the graphics (the pure black icons look out of place particularly), however this is Slitherine which pretty much guarantees the gameplay will be excellent... going to have to buy this based purely on that one fact alone...!
