It'll be staying on my device til I complete it. borderLeap Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Aug 9, 2012 190 0 16 Founder & Game Creator @ BorderLeap http://borderleap.com #8 borderLeap, May 31, 2014 Thanks all for the comments! This is a relaxing, meditative puzzler which I'm sure will become progressively more complicated as we move through the levels. The OST is nonpareil and the game is uniquely mesmerizing. I appreciate the single purchase price rather the its predecessor's pay model. I look forward to a deeper dive into this game. About the file size, music and difficulty level... it gets VERY tough, quickly - once you hit around level 30 for any path you'll see what I mean That's why we added leaderboards ultimately to see how far people really get and to give you the ability to see how you rank against others. As you'll experience in the game, levels are organized into "paths". Each path has levels comprised of a general mood, or style of color palettes. Some are reflective of colors of each season. Others like "peace" and "dream" are pastels... "twilight" is comprised of darker, bolder color palettes with black screen transitions inbetween levels - perfect for falling asleep to. About music, there's over two hours of music, uniquely organized into playlists that are harmonized with the style and mood of each group of levels. It's large in regards to file-size, but the music is high-quality and is some of the most beautiful, mesmerizing music you'll hear. Honestly, I play this game almost nightly myself - or whenever I want to relax and destress. I'm having to play muted today though and I'm missing the music. pluto6 Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2009 5,837 3 38 Military #14 pluto6, Jun 1, 2014 I enjoyed Harmony, although only played a fairly small number of levels. I like to support indie efforts of quality games, and really like not having the IAP that I guess are considered to be necessary to having a viable pay model. I hope that many people support the idea of a complete game. Good luck to you Nate. Love! I see cloudpuff you've made it into the 40s! Nice work! Yeah that's when it gets tricky - having that single dot left over all on it's own. Thank you - I really appreciate that much. The experience itself overall begged for no IAPs. The IAP model of harmony 1 did pretty well, but got so many negative reviews from users that we wanted to give a premium game a try with no IAPs. So so much thought went into this game. It all boiled down to creating a super clean, super simple experience simply of color and music. It's really a game like no other. We even removed sound effects as they interfered with the all-encompassing nature of the music. And sure, there's already been a negative review or two about bringing the sound effects back. Guess that's just the nature of the game - some enjoy it but there will always be a few that don't. For an artistic game like this it's difficult to communicate in words and screenshots what can really only be experienced by playing the game. What I often tell people is "just grab a good pair of headphones and give about 30 levels a try - you'll see what I mean" pluto6 Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2009 5,837 3 38 Military #17 pluto6, Jun 2, 2014 I don't care about the sound effects, but if there are really concerns I am sure you considered a simple on / off switch for sound effects. I am assuming this is not difficult, but that is the beauty of being a consumer, I can assume all I want. borderLeap Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Aug 9, 2012 190 0 16 Founder & Game Creator @ BorderLeap http://borderleap.com #18 borderLeap, Jun 3, 2014 Sure did - actually back in early April a beta version had sound effects and an effects on/off switch in the Settings menu. The challenge came though with making good sound effects to harmonize with the music. The music is so beautiful that nothing seemed to work. The effects only seemed to complicate the experience rather than accentuate it. So, we left em out Zaphiel New Member Jun 3, 2014 2 0 0 #19 Zaphiel, Jun 3, 2014 That's interesting about the sound effects. I do miss them too. You guys did a really great job in the first game blending them into the gameplay. Speaking of the first game, if you could put in an option in the first har-mo-ny to buy unlimited undos that would be awesome! jyhjyh Well-Known Member Oct 21, 2009 977 4 18 Denmark #20 jyhjyh, Jun 3, 2014 @BorderLeap Don't you read/answer your email?
