Downloading now. djiwai Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2010 132 0 0 #10 djiwai, May 19, 2014 whoa. if this is not propaganda, I don't know what it is. oh yeah anyway that's just a game, nothing to be stressed about uh... it looks really good obviously, but who's gonna enjoy that without any second thoughts L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #11 L.Lawliet, May 19, 2014 It actually plays really well. Super freemium though. Had to delete it because it lagged so much on my 5G. Weird because the other gunner games worked really smoothly. I guess some apps are optimized better than others. I also got annoyed when I turned off the internet, went to start a new mission and it said "this mission hasn't been downloaded yet". Wtf I just did the download when the game booted. I have no idea what's going on. Deleted it after that. I hope it's not "downloading" each mission because that's ridiculous. The Keeper Active Member Jan 20, 2012 27 0 0 #12 The Keeper, Jun 18, 2014 Any more updates on this? Whens it out? Already looks better than Zombie Gunship chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #13 chief78, Oct 2, 2014 This is weird....was this the upcoming thread and it got moved into this one?? The game just came out yesterday (at least US). I'm digging it so far, although it looks like a bit of a grind already, just into the 2nd area. Def worth a shot for free....we'll see how grindy it gets mattaid Member Jul 12, 2013 18 0 0 #14 mattaid, Oct 2, 2014 Downloaded it and I've been playing it for an hour or so... I also invested a bit of money as well for upgrades and weapons.. I really like it but it is a bit repedative in the execution of each mission (the story line for each mission changes but your basically doing the same thing as the difficulty level increases leading to the purchase of upgrades and new weapons or trying to accumulate enough game credits to purchase upgrades) and I can see myself getting bored... Overall it is a cool game and is definately worth anyone's time to download and play free for a while and decide if they want to invest some $$$'s to advance in each level or mission.. Bottom-line is that this game is similar to Zombie gunship and gunner but now you are battling terrorists... Game play is smooth (not the best but good enough if your a fan of these type of games) but you will need to invest some money or serious time in order to advance as the enemies become overwhelming unless you upgrade your drone and weapons... I gave it 4 out of 5 stars but if the missions continue to repete themselves then this game is no more than a 3 because it is really doing nothing different that the two Zombie games that are already out.... Hope this helps and have a great day! (No crashes or issues yet.) Play-time around 3hrs. Have to disagree a little with Mattaid, but i think this has stolen Zombie Gunship's crown. Having sunk many hours into, and enjoyed Zombie Gunship and Gunner Z, it's better than both. (Although, i wish it had the 3D load-out screens GZ has. ) - Gameplay is very good, it ramps up quickly to a good intensity. Enemies shoot back! It's far more frantic and a lot less repetitive than ZG. - Visually, its much better than ZG. Environments are varied with nice touches, like dictator statues and it's all destructible! - The vehicle models are really high detail, and you can zoom right in. - There's good variety in the enemy types. Troops / Armoured cars / APCs / Tanks /AA Tanks / even heli gunships at one point. - Weapons have a good feel to them the explosions and impacts are impressive. - Your troops fight back. It's cool to see them battle insurgents. Gives the impression of a living battlefield. - There's a lot of variety in the maps and weapons than. ZG has 4 maps this has over 20. - ZG has 3 weapons. This has guns / missiles / bombs / rockets and 4 or 5 different variants of each. - There are several drone types which can be upgraded for armour / stealth / flares radar etc. - Lots of buffs to use. Hi-Ex and auto loaders are very useful. Airstrike is - good fun. just don't use it near your troops. (Ooops.) Not tried the Nuke yet. On the F2P side... surprisingly, this is actually seems reasonably fair. (Unlike Kill Shot.) There's no energy system stopping play. It is a little grindy, (what isn't these days?) but nothing excessive, plus grinding is actually good fun trying to eek out more gold and cash from a favorite mission, which it seems to give out reasonably easily. Bottom-line is, if like military shooters and / or you've played ZG and GZ to death, you'll love this. It's free and got everything that ZG fans ever wanted, plus it actually looks like this will be properly supported, which the Limbic guys never really did with ZG. Tip: the 30mm is very powerful. Get it asap. It's more effective than Griffin missiles; the damage is higher and upgrade is relatively cheap, it has good splash and hits faster than missiles. (The starting mini-gun is crap.) Also, go for capacity and reload times over damage (initially) for missiles and bombs. I agree this has more depth than ZGS or GX. There's a few points to make that differentiate this game. Ur not in a gunship but are a drone, thus u can be shot at and taken down. U start with a minigun and missiles (2 missiles that can be fired individually and have a reload time, as does the minigun have an overheat). Then there are cluster bombs that fill a 3rd slot. U can upgrade ur weapons, the drone, and also purchase better cannons and missiles to replace each slot. There's also a few upgraded drones to choose from. Everything is pretty pricey. It all adds up to some mandatory grinding as Keeper said. But there are multiple side mission objectives for each main mission. Each pay out anywhere from 5-10k (which I assume will increase.....right now, on the 2nd stage). Multiple stages to tackle and multiple missions within main missions will add up to a lot of replay value. That said, I'm debating the "Cash Doubler" bundle. I'm 99% sure that's a permanent doubler, but since it's in the "bundle" tab in the IAP's I'm honestly scared to hit the purchase button and find out....can anyone confirm? EDIT: Confirmed the doubler does give u 2x payouts. So 2x payouts for missions, side missions, and the payout gained from infantry and vehicle kills. $77k in 2 runs is pretty good if u ask me!
