Might pick this up. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #2 coolpepper43, May 15, 2014 Wow, getting a huge David. and that dying cube game vibe. I wonder if it's worth the price? The reviews in the description has really piqued my interest. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,964 717 113 England #3 psj3809, May 15, 2014 Wow has impressive reviews. I might have to (gulp) back up my rants about people waiting for cheap prices and buy this (surprised at the higher price !). But yeah had great reviews, i'll watch the videos in a bit and probably get it soon coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #4 coolpepper43, May 15, 2014 Yes, this game looks like a must buy, but I am not sure an INSTABUY. Unless people are going to start comparing this game to the room and monument valley for its magicness, I think I may wait a little on this. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,964 717 113 England #5 psj3809, May 15, 2014 Arrrgh just realised its ipad only ! Doh ! Until its universal i'll then avoid, shame as after watching the trailer it looked pretty good, quite like these abstract platformers with a bit of a strange story to them Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #6 Sanuku, May 15, 2014 Interesting Game. The Reviews so far seem to be more then positiv so I guess I will just jump into the cold water and give it a try coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #7 coolpepper43, May 15, 2014 It looks magical, I'm praying that it is. I need my fix It's strange that it's ipad only. It definitely looks like it would fit on an iPhone. Bummer. nemerleb Well-Known Member Jan 19, 2013 544 0 0 #8 nemerleb, May 15, 2014 Yeah it's a nifty indie game that was also released on Vita. Everyone should give it a try because it has so much charm. There's also a narrator that tells a story during the game. coolpepper43 ð® Spam Police ð Aug 31, 2012 4,615 7 38 On the toilet #9 coolpepper43, May 15, 2014 Oh, that explains the price. It's a port. pbb76 Well-Known Member Jun 22, 2009 140 0 16 #10 pbb76, May 15, 2014 Game Impressions Just checked my Steam account and low and behold its one of the hundreds of unplayed (undownloaded even!) games I have. Just installed it and yea, its definitely very cool. Basic platformer, 100 levels (though not too much challenge according to the review I saw), but the narration feature (by UK presenter and author Danny Wallace who I really like) is very good as it tells the story of the characters during each level. I dont think I'd drop £5.99 on it personally now I know I have it anyways, but can see why they want it to be seen as a premium game as its very nice indeed. Not sure about how it would control on iPad, but the original developer said he was very happy with the controls on the port. He said he originally ported it a few years ago just using Unity's "export to iPad" feature, but it was horrible and didnt feel right - but the new version is what he wanted it to be. Bronxsta Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2012 4,698 6 38 http://indiegameenthusiast.blogspot.com/ #11 Bronxsta, May 15, 2014 Yes, yes, yes! Well worth the $9, I got it for $10 last year and it's a great experience and a great game. An abstract puzzle platfomer that accomplishes the difficult task of making you invested in a story about shapes. Not only does it has have an interesting compelling narrative, it's also a fun "single player co-op" kind of game, where you control a group of shapes, each useful in their own way, to navigate levels and solve puzzles Highly recommended. I don't know how the touch controls are, but as a game, it's fantastic. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #12 redribbon, May 15, 2014 Last edited: May 15, 2014 woohoooo, i play this on my vita while ago. and i still have it on vita. this is the definition of how great indie games has developing from time to time. But obviously there are issues thrown up by porting so I'll leave impressions if I pick it up before anyone else does. Purely as I was using a SteelSeries controller to play JoyJoy I thought I'd give it a shot on this and it only flipping works. It really is beautiful in every way. Visuals, sound (and I don't particularly like Danny Wallace) the whole shebang. Dare I say it, highly recommended (sorry!) Quick edit: the only single negative purely with the controller support is that the screen dims when not touched. I'm sure it's easily sorted and the touch controls are excellent anyhow but if the devs can fix it it would be magical. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
