TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #5 TheFrost, May 8, 2014 Oh Soul Calibur, what a great memories I had. I used to host tournaments at my house with 20 people or more, it was an insane and a great competition. So much fun. Soul Calibur 2 for GameCube it was, then they screwed up on the third one, and the fourth was better but more limited in moves than the second, which I never understood. And then they killed Kilic (Boo Staff all the way xD) and I was done forever with it. That saga needs to come back from its grave. I thought they would've ported Soul Calibur 2 by now. Although I think the orignal is the best ld still like to play the sequels, or a new game that's an actual fighter etc.. This release makes me think they are probly done releasing anymore real SC games oh well. MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #11 MrMojoRisin, May 8, 2014 As a self admitted SC fanboy, this looks really good to me. I can't play it until later tonight, though, since it wants to download a lot after the initial app download and I don't want to take that out of my mobile data for the month. I have one question for anyone that has played it. I know Sanuku made a video, but I don't have time to watch it right now, so forgive me. Is there any defense in the game? Or is it just attacks? Thanks! amusing Grace Well-Known Member Dec 23, 2008 1,685 8 38 Music, Muse, Magick Berlin, Germany #12 amusing Grace, May 8, 2014 There is a "guard move" if you don´t assign an attack card. Be prepared for a lengthy tutorial once you start it at first. MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #13 MrMojoRisin, May 8, 2014 Awesome, thanks! How much "yomi" is in this game? And how "pay2win" is it? Thanks again! amusing Grace Well-Known Member Dec 23, 2008 1,685 8 38 Music, Muse, Magick Berlin, Germany #14 amusing Grace, May 8, 2014 Last edited: May 8, 2014 Honestly, i had to pause that Tutorial cause it kept on giving I´m not used to this kind of games, so all the submenues, the upgrading, forging and enhancing left me wanting to play Metal Slug Defense or CastleStorm as these are very easy to get a grasp on. And i loved Soul Calibur on Dreamcast... On a positive note: if your eyesight is excellent, it could very well be played with one thumb on a phone if you have some minutes to kill. This seems like it would be great to play with one thumb so yeah why not, I will give it a try. Hope it's good and not an pay2win overkill. edit: tried it. It's nearly the same interface as every other P&D clone out there including a energy system. But this one is far too overloaded with informations, stats, pictures, etc at the same time it hurts my eyes. It also downloaded additional 397 MB so be careful if you're on a cellular connection. Mhm, guess I won't keep it on my device. Sure, it's SC but there are many better games out there which are sharing the same mechanics. VaroFN Well-Known Member Sep 28, 2011 4,270 0 36 #18 VaroFN, May 8, 2014 If people like SC, then there's the Dreamcast port. Other than that, I wouldn't expect any other (real) SC game on iOS. Pagan Fox Well-Known Member Jul 20, 2012 476 32 28 #19 Pagan Fox, May 8, 2014 Yes, have downloaded, played the tutorial and now deleted. There is far too much going on to get a grasp on what impacts your cards and weapons.....as someone else said, it's bewildering to the point of making you just want to give up altogether....which I did, heh. Also, there is IAP galore, and there are timers. On the plus side, graphics were nice. witedahlia Well-Known Member Jul 28, 2012 347 0 0 #20 witedahlia, May 8, 2014 Yep.
