Anyway, one day Doug decided to gather as much treasure from as deep under the earth as he could go. So Doug dug. And he dug. And he fought monsters and avoided massive avalanches of falling rock. And then he dug some more. And he picked up lots of bling. Now it's your turn. Help Doug dig deep down under the earth in the quest for shimmering jewels and precious gold. Go farther and deeper than any of your friends. Find more gold than anyone in the world. Oh but watch out for colossal cave-ins. No they're really colossal—you won't believe it. And creepy monsters. And bottomless pits. Ah, don't worry it's just a game. Do you like Spelunky? Dig Dug? Well c'mon you like Minecraft don't you? Well then you'll like this. Plus it's cheaper. And better. Plus your friends are playing it and you don't want to be left out, do you? Or maybe no one is playing it, in which case you'll be the one who introduces all your friends to "Doug dug." Then everyone will say, "Hey look there goes *your name here* who introduced us to 'Doug dug' and who is therefore cooler than the rest of us because he/she discovered it first." One of those two great options is bound to happen. So what are you waiting for? Doug dug. Will you? Visit http://youtu.be/GZazFfw_O7A to see how it plays. Reminds me of an old App Store favourite of mine: Miner Disturbance. Loved that game. This game looks like it plays a little like Mr. Driller! jaggi Well-Known Member Jan 8, 2013 92 0 0 #7 jaggi, May 6, 2014 Picked it up and so far it's fun. A high score game. Controls are fine: you have to drag your character around, which works well in portrait mode. You can play with one hand and move Doug around with your thumb. slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 8 38 #8 slamraman, May 6, 2014 Yep - like boulder dash and dig dug in a nice little hi scoring package. Great touch controls too. I seem to remember Pixa suffering in the screenshot department too, but this is definitely an odd decision especially when you consider it's only one screenshot when you're in the store. evilabdy Well-Known Member Jan 18, 2014 122 0 0 http://www.soundcloud.com/djkennetha #12 evilabdy, May 6, 2014 Love it. You won't die and you eventually get gems. I know to move every now and the due to lava and monsters. I used to own that on my psone a while ago. Not sure but it might be on psn now too Guise Well-Known Member Jul 10, 2009 2,027 14 38 #17 Guise, May 7, 2014 This game is really good. Gameplay is fun and surprisingly deep, controls are spot-on. I don't think you can just dig straight down; that seems to lead to earlier/more frequent avalanches. Anyone on the fence should hop off and download this one directly. Highly recommended. gmattergames Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2013 607 42 28 #18 gmattergames, May 7, 2014 Never a dig dug fan, but Pixa was the shiz, so may give it a go. I really like it. This is also the first time that I made it to #3 on any leaderboard that I'm aware of. I would have made it further if I hadn't underestimated the size of a bomb blast. Stupid bomb.
