To the ones who are gonna be: "oh, iPad only, that sucks." Or "iPhone version plz" like the other up there. I read that there might be an iphone/iPod touch version later. I think the success of the iPad version will depend whether or not this game gets a port on smaller screen. I've been studying the screenshots and they look so well-designed with lots of stats and features, it's been a while since I've been so excited about a card game - not since the old Decipher and WotC games I was obsessed with in my teens! So the idea of being now able to play offline on my iPad for a single fixed reasonable price is too cool! While on the surface it looks a bit like you're playing Super Street Fighter themed roshambo, there is a lot more to it and each character has their own unique set of moves and abilities. While I have little familiarity with all 20 characters, I love the Panda guy. Not because I'm some big panda lover, but he is the king of RANDOM! He scores additional random effects when he hits, and even can get into weird little games within the game like play a round of Blackjack to determine the damage he does to his opponent (So 1-20 points of damage but some big bonus if he gets exactly 21 or NOTHING if he busts). MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #15 MrMojoRisin, Apr 16, 2014 I've been playing via promo code for about a week now. I have a whole review that should be up on Slide to Play tomorrow, but I am technically still under embargo to provide details until the "official" release tomorrow. But I will share that the app is very well done and polished. And as stated above, if you have ever been interested in this game, this is the cheapest way to get into it. I'm happy they are charging what is considered a "premium" for app store standards, because that will keep all the griefer kids out of this game. And there are ABSOLUTELY NO PAY2WIN aspects in this game, period. But stay tuned in here and I will post the link to my review when it's posted tomorrow. I can also answer any questions anyone has tomorrow as well. Edit: And of course the embargo is just for info on the iPad app. I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone has about the game itself, even though I'm not a total expert or anything, lol. Mr. Charley Well-Known Member Sep 6, 2008 2,629 38 38 #17 Mr. Charley, Apr 16, 2014 Any GC achievements? MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #18 MrMojoRisin, Apr 16, 2014 Sorry, no async play. Matches are pretty quick in and of themselves and depending on the characters, there can be quite a few moments where one is waiting for the other to make a decision. Plus, imo, asynch would ruin the "flow" of a fight, since a lot of the mind games involved are trying to guess what your oponent will do based on what moves they recently made. I guess the play log (there is one) would solve that, but it's not the same as having the fight still fresh in your mind. Plus there are time limits in online mode. I usually hate turn time limits, but after you play some practice games, the time you get in online is more than enough to choose what to do each turn. nkarafo Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2011 864 14 18 #19 nkarafo, Apr 16, 2014 I didn't know anything about this game and I searched for it. I found a video review here in youtube which maybe can help someone to understand better what is this game. I would like to see a video, a trailer, a gameplay video so that I can understand better before throwing money into it. I'm happy that it's premium but I'm not very convinced yet. Any video will help. I don't think you have to keep it so that you can reveal it tomorrow which is the official launch day.. But anyways, we can wait for tomorrow...
