Is there a full game unlock or something? Or just the usual coin packs, etc.? Ads? Echoen Well-Known Member May 16, 2012 2,114 3 38 USA #5 Echoen, Apr 8, 2014 I was hoping this would have controller support but Maximus had decent controls. This uses the same setup so it should be fine. Quick glance at the IAP: Like Maximus, you can only purchase continues through IAP but you shouldn't really need them. There are also IAPs for coins with an affordable doubler at $1.99. Coins are used to unlock more characters, upgrade your stats, and acquire more loot. I'd say it worked decently well for Maximus so it should be fair here too, if not a bit grindy if you choose not to pay anything. HansKaosu Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2013 503 1 0 #6 HansKaosu, Apr 8, 2014 No ads, no unlock.. they sell coin doubler, extra hearts and coins. edit: beaten to it x3 redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #7 redribbon, Apr 8, 2014 wow this looks nice, good catch hans kioshi Well-Known Member Apr 9, 2011 880 0 0 Brazil #8 kioshi, Apr 8, 2014 I don't like that you can't resize and move buttons. Plus the B button jumps and that's the reverse of what I'm used to. Btw what are the options for low medium high in settings? There's no explanation for the slider's function HansKaosu Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2013 503 1 0 #9 HansKaosu, Apr 8, 2014 Volume? L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #13 L.Lawliet, Apr 9, 2014 It looks like a sequel to Maximus. What exactly is different in terms of gameplay? I even see some same enemies from the trailer. kioshi Well-Known Member Apr 9, 2011 880 0 0 Brazil #14 kioshi, Apr 9, 2014 It's a platformer brawler. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #15 L.Lawliet, Apr 9, 2014 Ah gotcha. Thanks. I went ahead and installed this because I liked Maximus but this game is a bit disappointing. The controls seem pretty off that my hands are starting to hurt after the first level. The gap with the jump button seems too big and hitting down to block (or moving in general) is really clunky. I keep facing multiple directions and when I attempt to block (by ducking), it doesn't work well and I pop back up after 1 second meaning I get hit. I admit I had really high hopes for it since everything else seems really good but the great controls made me love Maximus. Maybe this just takes some getting used to. kioshi Well-Known Member Apr 9, 2011 880 0 0 Brazil #16 kioshi, Apr 9, 2014 I have the same opinion about the button gap (iPhone 5S). Doesn't seem to matter if you change directions when blocking (I think) But I'm enjoying this a ton. Just finding the oter characters' prices too steep... And I have the coin doubler. Kwok Member Jun 25, 2012 23 6 3 #17 Kwok, Apr 9, 2014 Hi im one of the devs, for the clunky controls, which device are you using? we tested the controls mostly on iphone5 and may have overlooked iPad button spacing. Will definitely try to improve this. We usually put out an update addressing initial feedback very quickly. [email protected] Well-Known Member Jan 31, 2011 96 4 8 #18 [email protected], Apr 9, 2014 ah ok, sounds like I should allow button size and spacing to be scalable or atleast a toggle. Do you still think its important to switch the left/right position of A and B? Just reviewing character prices, your rate of earning improves and by around stage 8 should get around 10000-20000 for half hours play. I actually am planning to reinstall the first Maximus game and find out what controls differently. It definitely feels different and not as smooth but it's hard to pin point. Could you consider adding a toggle button for block? As I find it difficult to hold "down" on the movement without popping right back up. Maybe a toggle would place a button above the attack button for blocking. Then technically, games have gotten by really well with just arrows for forward and backward on movement (especially since you can only move in those directions now). Anyhow, that's just a suggestion. I'll have to play some more between both games and see what's different. Thanks! kioshi Well-Known Member Apr 9, 2011 880 0 0 Brazil #20 kioshi, Apr 9, 2014 Oh I'd like to be able to switch. The majority of games use the righmost button to jump so it confuses me a bit. I'm using an iPhone 5s and the buttons seem too big for my taste but I do have small hands. I died a ton on the Forest of the smell of fear boss, but I didn't find him unbalanced.
