Mike.Jujubee Well-Known Member Feb 23, 2012 337 4 18 #9 Mike.Jujubee, Mar 26, 2014 Coins are just an extra, you really don't have to bother with them - the game is balanced that way that after you complete each league you get a lot of money to be able to buy new ships etc., so in general coins on the track are just something extra. Thanks Sanuku for your video! As for the speed upgrade - after you buy it the icon gets black so you bought the upgrade. However we see that this is not too intuitive so we will also add stars in the next update to make sure players will be aware that the speed upgrade is active. But if not, might we have an option to turn them off? Brrobotix Well-Known Member Oct 24, 2011 1,524 0 0 Under your bed #16 Brrobotix, Mar 26, 2014 One of the things the wipeout series does well is have a very skill-based progression system. You start with basic balanced hovercrafts and gradually unlock ones that are more specialized towards heavier armor, high top speed, or better handling. However, these improvements always balance out with other aspects of those crafts being weaker, for example if armor is increased then the top speed might decrease. Maybe a better example would be riptide gp. Every jetski is the same overall as far as stats go, but some are slower but have better handling, or have high top speed and low acceleration, etc. That's something I wish this game would have. I don't like that this game will allow progression by way of grinding to get a much faster hovercraft, since this could mean that grinding will be necessary, no matter how good you are. However, I will say that this game looks like a huge improvement over flashout 1. Great work guys! Mike.Jujubee Well-Known Member Feb 23, 2012 337 4 18 #17 Mike.Jujubee, Mar 26, 2014 Thank you! We have listened to all the feedback we got since FLASHOUT 3D and made many improvements to the AI and the gameplay and we believe it is now a nice skill-based system - it's not that random as in the previous game, now your progress depends on your skills. If you prefer a more arcade approach you can play a single race in which the gameplay is a bit different. Anyway in the Career Mode it all depends on your skills, so it's quite different than in FLASHOUT 3D, so we believe players who played the original game should be happy with the changes we've made. Cheers! GregB Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2009 2,346 3 38 #20 GregB, Mar 26, 2014 Should we expect the same controls and feel as 3D? I feel like I'm just banging off the walls at times. I have funds to buy a much more maneuverable ship (will that help?) but the better ships are all locked. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
