It's actually out in the us store as well as above stated. It's almost like dungeon hunter in a sense you have to build defences and make paths so people who raid you have trouble getting to your base. I'll leave more impressions later! Wrath Well-Known Member May 26, 2011 480 9 18 Seattle #5 Wrath, Feb 25, 2014 This is great news! Totally enjoyed the first one, wasn't expecting a sequel, can't wait to try it out! L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #6 L.Lawliet, Feb 25, 2014 I've never played the first but those screenshots got my interest. Is it an offline single player game or some online SP / online MP? And since we're at it, it's free so what's the catch here? I'm hoping it's a good freemium! Zeillusion Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2013 1,789 2 38 #7 Zeillusion, Feb 25, 2014 Okay so here are my impressions. The visuals are stunning, they are extremely vibrant and beautifully modeled. It kept the vibe / theme from the first one we loved and brought that same joy to the sequel. It's a defence/fort builder game. You build up your castle as well as your entrance to stop people from raiding your castle. You can change the lath, add defenses like spikes / barriers as well as towers. You upgrade your troops/spells as well as buildings for income. It's a freemium game with clash iaps it appears. 5$ for 500 gems. As usual, you don't need to pay. You just need patience. It was done quite well. Gold upgrades everything, you earn food as a resource that allows you to battle. Fighting/ raiding coasts around 40 food which you get hourly you cannot earn it. Gold is earned in raids as well as trophies. Achievements reward you gold & gems as well. You start with 2 builders like every fort builders but have to buy more with gems. ^.^ L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #8 L.Lawliet, Feb 25, 2014 Last edited: Feb 25, 2014 Darn sounds like they added a timer to it as "food". That's the catch. And the rest of the iap possibly. Edit: Eh pass.. I just read the description. Online only. I was in the middle of downloading it too! What a bummer. Deleted. Everybody has the same type of defence or the same limit of defence. worldcitizen1919 Well-Known Member Jun 27, 2012 1,615 0 36 #11 worldcitizen1919, Feb 25, 2014 Never played this before. Like it a lot. Great graphics. Great gameplay. Is the IAP fair and are the timers a game breaker? I'm willing to play this long term but not if its another Real Racing 3. I'm hoping that eventually devs will find a good balance between getting $$ and not interfering with our gameplay or spoiling our fun and being fair and reasonable with IAP. Until then many games fail because they exceed the bounds of moderation. I don't mind always online as I'm at home. But for some this is a game breaker. Jake7905 Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2013 1,004 0 0 #12 Jake7905, Feb 25, 2014 Timers....online only....free-to-play.... Oh well, guess this is a pass. It's too bad, I was looking foward to this game. A premium built game like this (or at least a freemium with non-consumable IAP) would have me drooling. Sorta like clash & samurai siege. There's no paywalls but the timers get longer and longer as you level. I like it: but it needs more variety. The field infront of the base needs to be bigger so you can make a larger maze / defense tactics. It's a little simple. Not sure if it's in soft-launch but I feel there's not enough content. After a month or so they'll be nothing to do. Unlike games like clash & siege where there is SO much to upgrade and takes a year to really get up there base wise. Wrath Well-Known Member May 26, 2011 480 9 18 Seattle #15 Wrath, Feb 26, 2014 :-( Get the feeling the developers are chasing after the Clash of Clans cash model. This feels so little like the original game, it's just a sad clone of so many other games now. Didn't read the descriptions or reviews until I started playing & realized all too soon it's now one of those "attack and be attacked by other players while trying to build up resources and waiting on timers or use gems until they're all gone & you are tempted to buy more" games. Oh well, the first one is still enjoyable. bigjack66 Well-Known Member Aug 5, 2013 664 0 0 #16 bigjack66, Feb 26, 2014 Another single player online for no reason!
