The tutorial is well made, graphics and interface are really good. So far after a few games there is only one point: I wish there would be a way to adjust the AI level (Beginner, Advance, Expert or something like that) ... then it would be perfect. Nevertheless: Even without a must buy for board game / TBS fans! Thank you for this game! Felonious Tub Well-Known Member Oct 3, 2010 323 0 0 #6 Felonious Tub, Feb 18, 2014 Absolutely brilliant game. It is much like the old game Archon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archon:_The_Light_and_the_Dark But somehow even better. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #12 Talbs, Feb 18, 2014 Needs to be for iphone. Shame it's not. Looks real good. I'd instabuy on iPhone. Even though I have an ipad, I just don't sit down with it much. So this game may or may not make it to my ipad. I reckon this could fit iphone easy. Games with more information displayed have fit. That said, looks awesome. Hope I do get round to giving it a try StarScreaMx Member Dec 22, 2013 10 0 0 #13 StarScreaMx, Feb 18, 2014 Thanks for the info, i did read it but never played Archon.. MrMojoRisin Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2012 1,183 0 0 #15 MrMojoRisin, Feb 18, 2014 It's KIND of like Dynasty Tactics. There are a lot of differences, though. Think more chess or shogi, although there are no "pawns", since every piece is about as important as any other to keep alive. I'd say the Archon comparison above is a lot closer to how this game plays than DT. WITHOUT the action combat, of course, lol. But also keep in mind that unlike ANY of the other games mentioned above, this game has the added depth of having NO units starting on the board. You have to completely devise and implement your strategy from scratch. That fact really puts this game in its own league. I've also mentioned elsewhere that this feels a lot TO ME like the board game Navia Dratp, because in that game, even though you DO start with pawn type pieces on the board, you move and capture with them to get the points to summon your cool individual pieces. In this game, though, you automatically get so many points a turn, and get even more for each one of the glowing spaces you control at the start of your turn. drquicksilver Member Jan 7, 2013 23 0 0 #16 drquicksilver, Feb 18, 2014 Looks a bit like tactics arena online? I started to get into that, but it was freemium before freemium was even a word (or at least one shoved into MY vocabulary), and I didn't get that far into it. Plus I remember a lot of elitism among the "vets" of that game toward newbies. I have played through the tutorial. It explains the rules very correctly and is needed to understand what you do. I have played a campaign battle too and I like the secondary objectives for which you have to replay battles with different strategies. I have not tried an online game yet. I hope the matchmaking will find opponents fast enough. Very polished and deep game. That's what I want to see on a tablet. DSTYO82 Member Jan 31, 2013 15 0 0 #19 DSTYO82, Feb 19, 2014 So many good points There are many good touches they used to develop this game and touch is the best word to use. The controls are great drop and drag works extremely well. You can see for yourself how good it is and that's why it will sell but take note they have exceeded in getting the iPad feel to a game. If you want to know the negative, it's basically chess so you have to work on learning moves and counter attacking the AI. I'm up for the challenge and more people should be too. Long live premium games and decent development. worldcitizen1919 Well-Known Member Jun 27, 2012 1,615 0 36 #20 worldcitizen1919, Feb 19, 2014 Its a chess type game but with a battle chess theme. Great spoken introduction. You will have to learn which piece has what powers to be able to master and enjoy this. Its worth buying if you like chess and chess type games a lot especially battle chess. I love Battle Chess and so this was an instabuy for me. Great graphics and good for the thinking person. I'm not sure if there's a manual. I'll go back and check. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
