Each of the 4 Story Episodes after the Demo costs and contains 30-40 hours of epic RPG story. Purchase the entire story for .99 (all 4 Episodes). Command your party of four heroes as they fight to protect the last remnants of humanity. Born in a time of warring gods and dark powers, your four unlikely heroes embark on a grim journey set in the sprawling and immense post-apocalyptic medieval world of Steel. It is the dawn of the Seventy First Year after the world has fallen. Four of the Thirteen Gods rose up against their creator, the All-Father, and destroyed him in a cataclysmic event. In the following years of darkness and ruin, the kingdoms of man fell in war and flame. In the final days before all was lost, under the guidance of an ancient order of druids, the survivors retreated to a mysterious underground labyrinth; the Underdeep. Now, in the Underdeep, the last remnants of humanity are scratching out a living and trying to rebuild a society, but are quickly discovering that evil has followed them beneath the surface. Heroes of Steel is a tactical turn-based RPG in which you lead a group of four unique characters, each with their own talents, special powers, and abilities on their quest through the world of Steel. Engage in tactical combat with the ferocious, devious, and magical enemies who threaten humanity's last settlements. You must decide how to develop each character’s individual strategy in order to build a powerful and dynamic team capable of triumphing over the impossible odds. As you traverse the sprawling world of Steel, your party will face a myriad of challenges, battles, extensive mazes and fearsome enemies of all varieties. Savor full character customization, deciding how to increase your attributes, skills, and powerful talents. Equip each of your characters with a variety of weapons, armor, and up to three mundane or magical accessories. As your party explores the dungeons, cities and crypts of the world, you will decide the overall strategy and approach your team takes. Choose between hundreds of levels of talents and thousands of combinations of equipment. Our indie role playing games dev team is actively continuing development to make this the top RPG. We are very receptive to feedback to help Heroes be the best RPG it can be. With full control of every turn and aspect of your four characters, you can plan every turn with exacting control. Heroes was made for fans of adventure RPGs, board games, and roguelikes. If you enjoy strategy games or tactical RPGs, you will enjoy this classic RPG. I wasn't expecting much, but that game is great! Good music, too. But the best: the tactical gamepay and the story, especially those constant conversations between the characters. People, download and try that! Please don't overlook this in the rush of new releases and sales! Seems to have quite deep strategical feats. It's a full-grown RPG. This is their pay model for HoS. I personally really like it. After playing this some more.. I really like HoS. This is way more polished than anything I've seen from them before. After the first battle, I felt comfortable with the UI. I do wish they could fit more abilities on the side but that's a minor issue. Seriously, if anyone is reading this and they enjoy the idea of controlling a party of 4 diverse characters in a tactical, RPG with an intriguing storyline, download this right this second. The initial download is free and includes the prologue which is around 3-4 hours with additional episodes costing only $.99. Do it. ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #9 ojtitus, Dec 19, 2013 Lets be clear here, there is currently only one episode available for $0.99. Sorry if I came off sounding like a smart ass, that was not my intent, I just want people reading this thread to understand and not have misconceptions about what is currently available. As mentioned earlier in the thread it would be nice to have more abilities shown on the right but its nothing game breaking. Not sure about a pause button. Whenever I go back to the game, I'm nearly right where I left off. Not sure if this is what you're talking about. Edit: It seems to suspend well (exiting out with the home button on the phone) But not sure how long you can get away with that. badmanj Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2009 1,886 24 38 Software developer Reading, England http://www.underground-collective.com #16 badmanj, Dec 20, 2013 Yeah it is, doesn't let you simply return to the game... diaskeaus Well-Known Member Feb 12, 2013 67 0 0 #17 diaskeaus, Dec 20, 2013 Where did this game come from? It's like an amazing Warhammer Quest. Take that game but add in a decent story with far more tactics than you could swing a hammer at. I can't believe it's free, at least the first episode. Reminds me of old school Exile games, but with a dose of D&D thrown in. Xissoric Well-Known Member Apr 25, 2013 68 0 0 #18 Xissoric, Dec 20, 2013 Can someone please let me know how long the first episode is? Thanks! ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,003 113 #19 ste86uk, Dec 20, 2013 Considering after the last Warhammer Quest update and seeing all of the prices for all of the new things I instantly deleted it sadly as I knew I wasn't going to pay just for new tiles and enemies with no new missions. Downloading this as it appeals to me as I love RPG games and tactical play. Free also sounds great to me! amos38 Well-Known Member Jan 23, 2013 55 0 6 #20 amos38, Dec 20, 2013 Nice to see Heroes of Steel come out, I thought it wasn't out yet or was going to be on android first.
