Grist Well-Known Member Nov 7, 2008 362 25 28 VP of Marketing Massachusetts #4 Grist, Dec 13, 2013 Fantastic new version of pinball This game redefines pinball and takes it to the level of an art form. It's a visual treat on my iPad Air, pretty challenging, and a lot of fun to play. I encountered a bug on what I think was the third level, when all three balls became stuck in the three lock holes; the only way I was able to continue my game was to tilt continuously until I lost a ball. The music is new wave and fits perfectly with the art design. Normally the first thing I do with iOS games is turn off the music, but it's an organic part of the gaming experience in this case. Quantic Pinball Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2013 61 0 0 #5 Quantic Pinball, Dec 13, 2013 Thank you very much for your feedback. Concerning the issue you encountered in the 3rd table, we will fix it in the next update. We are really happy that the efforts we put in reaching this level of quality in gameplay experience are appreciated. It definitely encourages us to go even further and offer you even better products. Again, thank you ! bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 7 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #6 bigrand1, Dec 13, 2013 Last edited: Dec 13, 2013 I totally agree! Was waiting for this to come out and I'll tell ya it was totally worth it! This pinball game is just insanely fun! I love pinball and have played most all of 'em on the IOS, but this sets my wow level at a point never attained before! From the beautiful neon graphics, to the fantastic ball physics, to the variety of game play mechanics, this is so fun and exciting, you realize your mouth is wide open trippin' out at what you're seeing before you! Obviously a labor of love by the dev here, it gets my highest rating possible and two bigrand thumbs up! You gotta play it yourself, I guarantee you're in for a treat! This is absolutely not to be missed IMO if you like pinball at all! Get it! It's a must have! awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #7 awp69, Dec 13, 2013 Definitely looks pretty. I wish there was a real trailer of the game rather than an off screen video of someone playing it. My money is super tight so I may keep this on my wish list for now, but it has my interest peaked for sure. Particularly with the two impressions above. To the developer of this great game: Do you plan to add Game Center connectivity in an update? This is the only missing ingredient in my opinion. chris1a Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2010 1,335 1 0 Sweden #11 chris1a, Dec 13, 2013 Looks great, love flashy neon stuff (and flipper!). Have a question before getting it tho...In the screenshots there's like an exit ramp that says "next level", is that part of the same table or do those lead you to the other 7 tables available? Quantic Pinball Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2013 61 0 0 #12 Quantic Pinball, Dec 14, 2013 Yes we plan game center and tournaments organization in future releases... Be prepared ! Quantic Pinball Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2013 61 0 0 #13 Quantic Pinball, Dec 14, 2013 When you have finished a table (i.e. turned on all inserts of each ramp), the exit ramp gets opened, and brings you to the next level. NB : You can also unlock next level by playing the current level 10 times (this allows you to play the whole game even if a table is too hard to finish =). chris1a Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2010 1,335 1 0 Sweden #14 chris1a, Dec 14, 2013 @Quantic Pinball Got it thanks! Futuristic and addictive are the exact words to describe it, that's dam' right. The physics are great, too (not as the tables from FarSight or LittleWing though), and this brilliant fitting music glows everything together. If you like an arcady pinball adventure, then buy this game. The only let down is having NO Gamecenter at the moment, it's a must have ! Is this a bug ? My second run took me about an hour (!) and when i hit two billions, it started to count backwards to zero and back to 2'069'180' 401 again. I unlocked every table and played them a countless times. Edit: whenever you complete a table, you get a full set of five balls again. Any chance to have an option to start with five balls until you lose them ? Except for the extra-balls you earn, of course. Edit: this time i played on iphone 5 and watched the clock. Took 25 minutes until Game Over (850 mills). I'd wish me a 'Pro-Version', survive with five balls. Edit3: and a replay button on special level, please ! Quantic Pinball Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2013 61 0 0 #18 Quantic Pinball, Dec 15, 2013 Thank you ! Thank you for the feedbacks, we will fix the 2 billion scoring issue in the next update. We will also add the five ball only feature (easy / hard mode). And the game center support is definitely on the short list ! awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #19 awp69, Dec 15, 2013 Been keeping eye on this game. So are you saying you essentially get an infinite amount of balls? And your score just keeps going up and up? Kind of strange design if that's the case. What would be the point of high scores? mbourgon Well-Known Member Apr 8, 2009 48 0 0 #20 mbourgon, Dec 16, 2013 Impressed, and some comments Okay, overall really impressed. It's not straight up pinball, but it works. Some comments: Some game frame fate drops and hitching on iPad 3 during multiball, specifically when spiders are present. What is sniper? Or is that the Galaga-like part? Flippers are a little too quick. Flippers are also a little too dead - balls bounce off them like the normal environment. Which might be a stylistic choice, but from owning 2 pins (and a crap-ton of computer-pins) feels strange. Also, flippers a little too close - though that does make the game a lot easier. Blackout is amazing - you're really using the advantages of the format. Big applause, and I thought the Mitsui pinball game was gimmicky. Double points for making the darked-out border area pixelated. Ball physics needs some work- momentum not properly transferred when 2 balls collide, making it again feel a little "dead". Doesn't seem to be any English. Music works perfectly with the aesthetic. The multiball drop is nice; I can't tell if they're perfectly synchronized or just a bit off, but it feels/looks wonderful, albeit really freaking easily to do. It seems a bit basic. You have bumpers, and things flow, but no targets or drop targets (and probably some other features) makes it feel a bit barren - too much flow, not enough stop/start. I've only hit the fourth or fifth level, so that could be me being overly bitchy. Also, hard to tell what you need to do to finish a level. Normally the arrows tell you the shots you need to make in order to proceed. That doesn't happen. Actually, there's the only other part that's off - lack of theme/story. I'm catching fish, or knocking down guardians, or finding Fester, or saving Sarah from a terminator. There's no interim goals, though you do have the mini games which helps mask it. But the lack of secondary goals makes it feel a little barren, almost the the old EMs. It also may hurt the depth - look at Timeshock, for instance - I've owned it for over a decade, done tons of the mini games, but have yet to finish it. But honestly, having target banks would give you more start/stop, which IMHO would help. But none of that diminishes the game. I'm really impressed with what y'all have done.
