You've hit total 20k Experience points? With the coming update you would almost have unlocked everything although I suspect that we will bump the points awarded for playing nightmare and survival before release otherwise I would suspect the grind would be pretty insane! Will get a feel for that once we transition to testing.
20k score in a single survival session! What map and wave did you reach? Sadly all my recent survival scores are wiped after reinstall due to testing. Screenshot or it didn't happen!
If you were starting waves early more frequently that can get you a bigger score. Also you might have had some of the more valuable monsters spawn, possibly elite variants as the credit value of them is also converted into credits. What device are you playing on? I can't remember my top score but I think it was on Saturn. I was going to share the screenshot but I cannot find it damnit!
I'm playing on an iPhone XS Max. Interesting- I will try Saturn next. My scores really started to spike when I figured I could use the green smoke special ability to clear hoards of enemies in a hurry. They dropped like flies!
The uranium shell barrage? I love that charged attack. Great for nuking flesh spawn piling up at the wall or CMD.
yes. I normally have a kill zone in the middle of the map, with flamethrowers, 1 or 2 plasma lightning, 1-2 emps, and multiple uranium shells (4 and up) targeting it. When the 4th and 5th wave comes I clear all the charged attacks.
I'd love to see some of your turret arrangements if you manage to get a chance to grab some screenshots.
And here’s Uranus. Only the artillery in the middle of the map is emp. The rest are all uranium. Only got to level 36 on this one but 22k+ points. Some general thinking from me: 1) napalm flamethrowers get rid of the zombies. You need two, in case one gets hit by a thinker. 2) can’t get away from 2 missile launchers near the base to hit meat clouds. 3) supplement this with plasma lightning which can also hit flying objects in a pinch 4) just one emp is enough. It doesn’t do enough damage. But keep it off the main path so it never gets disabled by thinkers 5) everything else- go Uranium. They clear hoardes; thinkers stay nicely in place to soak up the uranium while they disable turrets; and they also seem to hit flying objects. Once the board comes, bombard the choke points with 4-5 charged uranium attacks. You’ll clear them in a jiffy. 6) plasma lightning is good for it’s regular Attack but next to useless for its charged one. Really only useful when you are near the base and want to quickly damage many winged zombies that aren’t the meat cloud. 7) because the thinkers stay solitary while doing their attacks, uranium is actually better for them than the long ranged sniper plasmas.
Love it! That's some serious artillery fire power you got going on there. Are you not a fan of the rail gun plasma? In the last update the charged attack was fixed so that it properly splash damages other enemies it passes through. I find it very useful on later waves when you are dealing with large clusters of reinforced elites.
Looks like you've pretty much smashed a solid strategy. I'd suggest trying to throw a railgun in the mix and maybe replace a lightning as well. Hitting wave 36 is insanely impressive. I've actually only done this myself a handful of times, even before the elite monster buff update. At this stage you are up against a bit more RNG luck and also trying to determine the best opportunity to use your charged attacks and support abilities to really squeeze out your chances to progress further.
I'm gunna try get a Saturn survival play through out this week. Research system overhaul isn't too far off now. Pete is just finish off the plasma turret tree and then there's just the command centre tree. Then we can start balancing and testing. If you guys are interested in testing out the update before it goes live on the app stores I can let you know closer to the time. We definitely want to run a bit of a beta testing period before we go live with some players for this update because some of the changes are fairly significant so we want to make sure everything feels balanced.
I think the highest I got to was 38 or 39- that was the >25k points run. I'll try the railgun. I didn't use it because at 30+ levels of survival mode, what kills you is seldom one single enemy, it's like hordes of elites coming at once.
