I'll toss these out right here: requires internet, freemium, 3 currencies (gems, eP, gil/coins), stamina meter (1 point per 3 mins), 6 different orbs used to upgrade items/spells. The meat of the game is picross puzzle solving. Quest battles use simple 5x5 puzzles to solve. Completing each lets your party attack. You can choose one of 4 tactics with each attack to boost parameters: power, wisdom, prayer, and defense. I'm not too sure what wisdom does but prayer heals your party. I think the HP bar is the combined health of all 5 party members. 4 of those are your own characters and the 5th is a guest character from another player. Your party attacks one at a time and will hit a random enemy unless you tap on one. You can change the target at any time. There is also an RE meter that fills up with each attack that functions similar to FFXIII's chain gauge in that it boosts attack and gets stronger with every hit but will deplete over time (bad if you're slow at solving puzzles or go AFK). There's a social component to add friends so you can use their characters to guest in battles. Too bad I can't read Japanese because I already received some requests. It looks like you can trade characters too but I'm too scared to test the buttons. What's Final Fantasy without spells? The black mage starts out with a fire spell. You get more from doing quest battles, which you can repeat as much as your stamina will allow. While in battle, you charge up the spell by solving the puzzle under the tactic you linked the spell to. For the black mage, it defaults to power. You need to get X number of squares correctly while using the power tactic to unleash it. This is a free turn you can insert at any time. I gave a heal spell I picked up to my red mage. You get more characters for free(?) via a search with a timer or via using 300 gems. Spending gems will give you better characters than free ones. Each character comes with a daily puzzle to solve that rewards gil, with better characters offering larger grids to solve and of course, better rewards. You can also sacrifice one of your characters to give experience to another, up to level 20. The only other function of gems I've come across is to add 5 inventory slots and 5 character slots (100 gems each). I'm guessing it also refills stamina but I haven't been able to deplete my stamina yet, going in and out of the app. Edit: When you're down to a certain amount of stamina (less than 5 maybe?), it will take 20 minutes to recover 1 point of stamina. It costs 100 gems to fill it up! Going over this threshold will return the timer to 3 minutes per point. You can get more gems by doing special quest events(?). Gil is used to fund fusing characters and items. I have no idea on what eP does but you get these from doing quests. I can't find a store so I'm guessing items are solely found from quests. The upgrade orbs are also found as random drops from quests. The game's actually really fun if you like picross! (Paint It Back got me into it) The battles make it lively and the daily character puzzles offer more casual play. The stamina meter should offer enough game time for casual players.
