You make it sound like we're too old. Drummerboycroy Well-Known Member Apr 2, 2012 4,172 0 36 Clinician Maine! #12 Drummerboycroy, Oct 9, 2013 I try really hard not to get into the whole, "price of a cup of coffee" thing, primarily because I don't enjoy specious logic/argument, but yeah, for those of us who remember those days, some of the conversations about, "risking a dollar," or, "throwing away my 3 dollars on this crap game" are pretty hilarious in context, eh? Not downing anyone who has felt like that, it's just that having the added perspective makes the angst pretty funny overall in context. It's a miracle I didn't turn into a problem gambler the way I pumped quarters into machines like DL... and then there was "Zoo Keeper." My nemesis. Vovin ð® Spam Police ð Nov 28, 2009 6,514 3 38 Germany #15 Vovin, Oct 9, 2013 Talk about Mortal Combat arcade machines. Guess I've spent around 50 bucks a week just on them. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #16 awp69, Oct 9, 2013 I've bought a few over time as well. This was one of my favorite arcade games growing up. That said it's also a game that has never felt right on any system. The controls have to be perfect for this game to work. I'm going to pass on this until I hear how well it works. Too many frustrating experiences with DL except the original arcade machine. First gen of gamers... the 70's to 90's, the second gen from 90' to 2010 and now, there's a third generation. Damn. We are old. I still remember the times showing up on a LAN party at over 30, leaving the kids riddled like "what's that old man doing here?" and then kicking some of their sorry butts at Unreal Tournament. Unexpected & priceless. Pique me interested in this DL release, btw. Just want to know what they've changed, exactly. Or maybe I just feel like THIS will be the definitive version of two of my favorite childhood games. I think we are at about the tenth or so "definitive" version.
