I’ve forsaken using other apps and playing other games for this. When I’m not playing it I’m thinking about playing it. I’ve practically drained my iPhone – then recharged it, then drained it again – on several occasions. Yes, it’s just that great.” 4.5/5 – 148apps.com “Take your Pokemon concepts and throw them into a world with Zelda style gameplay and you’ve got Monster Adventures. While most devs are making shallow runners and physics games, Foursaken has gone deep with this hardcore monster catching game. Time will fly by as you struggle to catch rare monsters and delve deeper into each territory.” 96/100 – phonecats.com “Monster Adventures is a lovely adventure title with some big ideas.” 4/5 – gamezebo.com ---------- Features • Pokémon meets Zelda! • A seamless blend of rogue-like adventuring, monster catching, creation, and role-playing elements! • Create your own monsters! • Catch enemies and learn their abilities! • Complete an interesting single player campaign, offering hours of gameplay! • Find items and loot deep in the wilderness! • Rogue-like gameplay: the deeper into the wilderness you go, the better loot you find! Just a few questions though if anyone knows. How does the rougelike element work? Is it just the further you get the better things you get and if you die you start from the beginning or do you lose everything? Also does this game need an Internet connection or only need it for multiplayer modes? Endscrypt Well-Known Member May 8, 2012 309 0 0 #17 Endscrypt, Oct 9, 2013 ????? If you know us, then you know we'll be glued here for the next few days answering questions, taking feedback, and most importantly fixing any issues people have as fast as we can! No internet connection required. The roguelike elements are kind of things that we wanted to grab from the genre, without making it TOO punishing... so, as you go deeper into the wilderness, the enemies get stronger (and you encounter new types to catch), you get more xp, more gold, more items, but if you die, you lose ALL items (*that you found in that current run), all the monsters you've caught, half your gold and half your experience (again, you only lose what you earned for that run only). We think its a good happy medium between really not wanting to die, but not wanting to throw your device across the room if you DO slip up and die strivemind Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2010 2,784 2 38 Designer Ottawa, Canada http://www.strivemind.com/ #19 strivemind, Oct 9, 2013 So drawing from roguelike elements... does that mean the dungeon/wilderness and loot is randomly generated?
