I wonder about the gameplay and the controls though. squashy Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2013 1,997 1 38 *burp* The Garden of Sinners #3 squashy, Sep 21, 2013 It's heeeeerrreeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! ip4weather Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2012 1,659 13 38 #4 ip4weather, Sep 21, 2013 people was waiting for this.... L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #6 L.Lawliet, Sep 21, 2013 Okay I tried about 10 minutes (it's free so why not). It's GOOD. Love it, it's so polished. I heard it was on google play first. No bash against that store's games but I'm always wary about them because I have trouble finding good quality stuff on there. They're there but for me personally it's hard to find. This is one of the good games. I just wish the controls used a joystick rather than 2 parts of the screen for right and left. it's better than tapping a right/left button but a stick I'd love more. Aside from that I think this may be worth the full buy. The art really does it for me. They hired a great artist! Btw I love the app icon and main character's design. I guess he's called a Reaper? sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #7 sapphire_neo, Sep 21, 2013 Terrible controls, they should have gone with an option for visible buttons instead of just gestures. Gameplay quite good. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,966 718 113 England #9 psj3809, Sep 21, 2013 Last edited: Sep 21, 2013 Yeah agree with that, finding it quite frustrating, just want to attack the guy instead of swiping all over the place. Had high hopes for this but a few levels in i'm finding the fighting a bit frustrating. Two buttons, one for jump, one for just attack would work well Wish sometimes they would stick with just traditional controls. I'll keep playing a few more levels and i hope i get used to it but its a bit samey. Was hoping it would be like Swordigo, eg a fair bit of levels with jumping rather than fighting all the time, gives it a bit of variety. Also, Reaper attacks on his own when he's near to enemies. What more could you want? Sheesh!!! Reminds me a bit of He-Man where they added an update to have a button for jump rather than swipe sapphire_neo Well-Known Member Jan 20, 2011 3,934 0 0 #15 sapphire_neo, Sep 21, 2013 One of the biggest issues here is that jump and attack are both assigned to gestures, simply having a button for jumping would alleviate much of the trouble. You could even go further and use up + attack for upward slash, down + attack for smash, down + attack while in the air for stomp. That cuts things down to a 4-way d-pad, two buttons and one simply gesture for dashing. Bronxsta Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2012 4,698 6 38 http://indiegameenthusiast.blogspot.com/ #16 Bronxsta, Sep 21, 2013 Wow, this is really good. I'm loving the art style. Personally I really like the combat, feels fluid and powerful. The overworld and quest set-up is pretty cool. Considering unlocking the full version, but need to know how the content works first. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #17 L.Lawliet, Sep 21, 2013 I would really just want a virtual joystick only for movement (or possibly using up on the pad to jump). The jump and the movement are the only things I get thrown off with. It bothers me that double jump is so close to the aerial move. I actually have time myself to make sure I don't accidentally spend rage on the aerial. And I wish the dash didn't take rage. I often use it to move around but it just consumes rage. I would rather it be a movement ability rather than movement/attack ability. However I'm still really enjoying the game. It just takes some getting used to. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #18 syntheticvoid, Sep 21, 2013 What is Dark Harvest Mode?? **edit** Nevermind... saw the info button.
