We have a ton of different speeds at which they run actually. In fact our spawner system setups a random speed for each zombie if we want including hps. Towards the end of the game most of the zombies start to move really fast. Remember you are only seeing very limited gameplay because we don't want to ruin the best moments!
I have a great idea for an update: allow us to custom tailor co-op games to our own preference, a la Killing Floor style. The zombies run X fast, there are Y zombies of this type, etc. Would add a lot of replay value
something I was thinking about today was a list of the best co-op multiplayer games on mobile what do you guys think are mobile co-op games worth mentioning? I'll start first Call of Duty World at War Zombies
NY Zombies 2 (too hard for my taste, actually) Rainbow 6: Shadow Vanguard (this is a fantastic implementation of full co-op campaign. Just needs voice chat and better AI) Heroes & Castles (Fantastic) CoD: BO Zombies (awful game) Guerrilla Bob (didn't play this too much) Dungeon Hunters 2-4 (3 & 4 are steaming piles of crap, 2 is the best dungeon crawler on iOS) Zombieville USA 2 (lotsa fun, even has voice chat) Yeah, that's about all I can think of. Will Infected Wars have voice chat?
Yes, Call of duty world at war zombies was the best online game. You could even host games on their servers and for the most part it was very reliable. All of the modern combat games and Nova games have excellent MP. Even as JBruu has mentioned Zombieville USA is pretty good but I hate to say it ( but it's true) but Game center just isn't that reliable for MP games. The wait times are extremely long and it crashes a lot. Overall, CODwaw, and Gameloft MP are the best. You will always find MP games on the Modern combat and Nova series.
NY Zombies 2 is actually pretty fun. If Foursaken ever makes an NY 3 with Unreal and change up a few things, then I'd be all over it.
A bit off-topic, but instead of using Unreal or any other engine they should keep using and improving their own. Creating your own engine lets you change anything you want, and of course you already know everything about it, pros and cons, since it's yours. I rather have Bug Heroes 2 than NY3 though. NY2 was cool and I enjoyed it a lot, but Bug Heroes was just... unbeatable.
NY Zombies 2 was fun, but it didn't have a story, just like most other IOS zombie shooting games. I wished there's gonna be another Walking Dead: the game on Appstore.
About the gameplay footage... Is it me or you can't fire while walking? And IMO both zombies and the character need some pushback, and some blood effects when you're hit or when you kill an enemy that's close. Well, you know, classic gore
It's the opposite, it does have a story, just like the first game. Read the notes and such for each level and the newspapers, notes etc. you find in most levels.
The one thing I have noticed from the sneak videos is the zombies sometimes just stop and look around, The same with the dogs. The game still looks great and the sounds are outstanding but the AI looks like it needs a bit of tweaking, maybe it's being worked on atm.
Hey if we're talking about BH2 then I'd be all over that. In terms of Zombies, an NY3 would be cool :3
Not being able to shoot while walking/running would change my mind about purchasing this game too. In a free roam, zombie shooter, you definately need to be able to run and gun.
No shooting while running? RE style? That's pretty hardcore for a game like this! I like it You bunch haven't played the Resident Evil games? Putting this in means everything is more intense, because you have to trade mobility for being able to defend yourself. There's quite a bit of strategy involved. I actually think it helps this game a ton But no, I doubt there's no moving while shooting. To do so would require "aim mode", and it appears that you can fire at any time just by tapping the right side of the screen. Edit: if this doesn't allow for moving while shooting, the crosshairs need to expand when the player moves and such, representing the real life loss in accuracy.
Of course you can move while shooting. You have to, or you are screwed! We try to play differently to show you the full brunt of gameplay, including death.
Lol funny how people come up with these topics about not moving and shooting. You should make a video of you moving and shooting next time.
Thanks Tyler. It would still have been a day one instabuy even if that wasn't the case but thanks for clearing it up. Latest video looks real good as well so hoping to see this real soon. Thanks.
General Jah, I saw your post on the World war z thread. That is great news. I'm hoping this game will be released in June. I'll have my itunes card ready !!
It was actually one of the most common complaints about RE5. Since the controls in the first three games (plus Code Veronica) were so awful (tank people!), it was forgivable. Same for RE4, which pioneered the modern third-person shooter (over-the-shoulder camera at all times). It doesn't make things more intense; it slows down the game considerably. There's a reason why Revelations and 6 allowed you to move while shooting: to do anything else would just result in ridicule. I'm glad it's not in this game. It probably would have hurt the action.
