Not all games, but this game it was obvious with it's freemium style, very hard difficulty, call to inapps like losing guns, high use of ammo due to having to shoot enemies so many times, etc. This game still may go freemium fairly soon with the inapp structure cause it seems the most important goal in this game is to get gamers to buy inapps. It is kinda sad cause this game has alot of potential, but the freemium like riff raff really bring it down big time.
I know that many said it was originally "IAP happy" when it launched. The developers came in to defend it saying it was meant to be a hard game and that the IAP was for people who wanted to cheat. I don't own it to confirm if it was or is now geared towards IAP. Personally I was never impressed by the game after watching the TA plays and still don't plan on buying it at $.99. To each their own though.
Warning the game is not in sale anymore! If I click on touch arcade app it says 1 bucks in the AppStore but when I search for the game manually 7 bucks!
The only games you would buy when it first comes out IMO is games such as Infinity Blade because they have guaranteed quality. also games with no IAPs
Bought at last #! I had problem with AppStore but the game costs 1 buck and it's worth, I've played only level 1! Graphic is awesome!
Same here, the guns is like for 1 time usage? Seriously? I wait for dead tigger 2 better and it's free.
I wish I get dollar for every time I read that a developer says that their game was not developed for users to buy IAP. Developers defend thier IAP model and always play it down. After all, they want you to buy their game. Since I dislike games where the IAP feels forced, I wait for reviews and feedback from other players' experience. I've been burned several times to waste money more on questionable IAP games.
Yeah I that's the biggest downfall of this game. I saved a little for that $4,000 carbine and bought it a little before I almost died for a fighting chance, died and was surprised I lost everything. I didn't have the urge to play it again after that, deleted it off my iPad and even on iTunes on my MacBook. Ugh, felt like a waste of time. I wouldn't even recommend it at 99cents
This game is as good as Ride to hell, in other words: 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001/10
