I am so seriously pissed off at NBC for not showing the events live. Yes it is streamed online but you need f*****g cable. like wtf. They show a road race that ended several hours earlier and don't show the us men's basketball team's game? Or the Lochte vs Phelps big race? C'mon NBC really? Don't put worldwide sporting events on tape delay and force thousands of people to stay offline just to avoid spoilers. Seriously f**k this. Totally ruining the Olympics with delays and commercials. Ugh so disgusted with NBC
Eventful day for gymnastics and swimming. Spent way too many hours watching the Olympics. Worth it though.
God, I hope this doesn't happen.. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/19668553/david-stern-says-theres-no-rush-on-the-under23-olympic-decision
Anyone else read this article on Yahoo? http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/olympics-fourth-place-medal/korean-fencer-forced-remain-piste-while-waiting-incredibly-191228265--oly.html Sucks, can't believe she lost out on a medal because of this.
Yep totally right. We sadly have no power. Thousands of people ranting on twitter and such but that won't help anything, and neither will mine. Sigh, too bad only NBC gets to show the Olympics.
Yep, this is probably the most controversial moment of the games so far. Pathetic really. There just isn't a rational explanation to what the judges decided on.
Seriously. I fence so it's something I followed closely. Way to ruin a fencing career FIE. I'm not sure how it COULD have played differently besides not bringing in people who can't push buttons at the right time... but they definitely didn't do it right. They did so much wrong on that bout. Including starting the fencers off too close every one of those 4 attacks. It should take 2-3 steps to reach your opponent when 'En Garde'. It looked to me, and the Korean coach, that the FIE was doing everything in their power to give the match to Heidermann.
Swimming Gahh I cant Believe that USA isnt winning as much as they should be China, Korea and France are doing beast this year. GO TEAM USA!
I think Britain is doing terribly for being the host nation, they hyped up beforehand how the host nations always do great and how many medals we could expect etc. Meanwhile we aren't even in the top 20 countries talk about embarassing.
Phelps gets his 19th. 16 medals for the US in swimming alone. Good shit. Edit: To add on to that, the US gets the gold for women's gymnastics!
Yep, out of their 23 total. Swimming has been the strongest sport for the US for quite a while now. Can't wait to see Team USA dominate basketball once it gets closer to the finals. Really looking forward to the track events as well. China's women's diving is insane.
USA already has over 2400 medals all together, calm down I think China will have most medals this year.
Wow, been reading up on a lot of interesting stuff on Yahoo. Countries like North Korea punish their Olympians if they don't win. Apparently they're forced to serve a life of labor after the Olympics. Must suck, knowing that you have to win or face punishment back home :/
Just watched NBC's broadcast of the finals for women's gymnastics. Seriously, what a powerhouse performance. Time for the 4 x 200 freestyle relay. Another good day for USA. Edit: Lol, the relay was brutal. USA had no competition at all. Easy 19th. Another 5 hours spent watching the Olympics today, damn. Normally average under that per week for television time, lol. Awesome 30-minute dedication to Phelps. Just insane what he accomplished in Beijing, in Athens at 15, and earlier today.
