It's a samurai card type game-looks rubbish IMO oh well bring on Machinarium next week!

 

Terrible media stunt idea, if that's true.

 

Well I hope we get some unreal juice next week but i won't count on it. I don't know about you guys but I'm getting sick of these developers promising release dates, then without a word postponing them !! I guess I have to take their word with a grain of salt.

To be fair thats how it works in development, might suddenly find a bug late on and they cant release it then (Look at Tapper which was released with a major bug, totally affected sales i think with all those 1 star ratings). Plus its a bit like the music charts, if 'game x' is being released and will get all the hype then you dont want to release yours on the same day.

Or look at Bounders World, a very good Air Penguin type game, they released it on a public holiday in the UK, appeared with hardly any fanfare and quickly disappeared. They should have waited till the big release day on Weds night.

If they release a game which still has issues then everyone will turn from 'when will it be out ?' to 'why did they release this buggy piece of crap' etc. Cant win !

I wish we could have some 'rough' dates though, theres quite a few games i'm looking forward to but dont have any clue when they'll be out

I hear what your saying. I'm pretty understanding. If a dev says they will release their game in August and something comes up,( bugs, etc...) That's completely understandable. Nobody wants to play a laggy, bug type game. What irks me is when a dev says their officially releasing the game at a certain date and doesn't get released. Then they vanish without an explanation ??
