Out of those games the winner in my opinion would be Firemint Real Racing. The gameplay, controls graphics, sound, AI and online capabilites completley destroy all other racers! A few others for the list: Flight Control Car Jack Streets Caster Moonlights 3D Rollercoaster Rush Star Defense
I know, I repeat myself. But curcuit_strike.one is THE one! A unique and highly addicting visual and acoustic blast, a true challenge, a perfect shooter. This one beats every major game to me... should win get prizes, a front side review and a bigger audience.
Lol it felt like the beginning of the year to me. I was thinking it's not necessary to have one so early in the year. But when I think about it, we're more than halfway there. I guess it's cause I still go to school.. sigh. Anyway, it goes to ngmoco's Star Defense. Best game hands down in EVERYthing about it. What also makes this game amazing is the plus+ network. It works so well and adds so much more gameplay.
I'm going to go ahead and say Uniwar. The rest of those are almost straight ports from other platforms. Some didn't even have much if anything changed...cough Zenonia cough! Uniwar was built ground-up for the iPhone. Sure, it may not be the prettiest game or one that really shows off the whiz bang features of the iPhone/Touch, but the online multiplayer makes this a game with endless replayability--one of the most important factors of a game, in my opinion. I've never played Real Racing, so I can't comment on that. My suspicion is that that would probably be my top choice had I played it.
I've got to agree with PaperToss . . . it's not my top game but it's in my top two for sure (my app being the only one above it lol) . . . but I'm excited to see what will happen in this next year as we approach the 2 billion downloaded mark. 3GS and OS 3.0 changes everything so it's gonna be pretty sweet very soon.
The best 3 apps up to date are... My pick for 2009 would be 1. Baseball Slugger (As this is the game that I am currently playing the most) 2. flight control 3. Leaf Trombone I've played Creed Assasin, Peggle and Zenonia. That's all I've played. I cannot agree to the list of the poll!! For Peggle, the PC version is way way way better than the mobile and it seems like just a port to the platform. For Zenonia, this is definitely a port from a mobile. the effects are nice but the graphics on a whole is terrible. Assasin Creed, is the better among the three. The graphic and the story is very neat. But if you think of the price, it's not worth that much. These games are iphone/ipod touch centric games, utilizes the features of the device, the graphics are right at the peak of how it should be (comparison with price, too) and, again, the price is very well set. (which means cheap) if you can get more fun, addictiveness and quality at this price, let me know. I would like to know more.
Ok so so far Zenonia is in the lead...but that's only because Enviro-Bear 2010 wasn't released on time to be put on the list mhahaa. Anyway, there is still 10 days left to vote.

We should have one of these posts for each category. Card games never get too much love on TouchArcade Personally, I would vote for Real Racing or Castle of Magic.
Assassin's Creed all the way. I'm still playing it after more than a week and I'm not done with it. It's a great platform adventure/ hack and slash game. It's my second favorite. Get it.
Beatrider should be on the list simply for its innovation and infinite replayability. It's my favourite game app as of now. Lol why is Knights Onrush on there... it's even worse than Rolando or Peggle -.-';
Make sure you check the date the poll was made before suggesting games that came out after that date should've been on there instead. Some of the games suggested didn't come out until after and also there is only 10 choices allowed on a poll. I would've put 30 choices if I could have.
