yeah out of those 20 listed I'll probably be only interested in about 10 of them. I don't think next year will be any more special than this year for console games.
I'll be buying about 10 of those... and probably another 30 or so not on the list. Yeah I buy too many games. I don't see the appeal of Heavy Rain though... the video was dreadful, bad script, bad voice acting, no real gameplay...
I think Nintendo needs to abandon the whole Wii project and get on board with the H.D. and everything. Maybe include a Wii mote device with their new console, shouldn't be that hard. They way over estimated the novelty of the motion sensor stuff which most people stopped being impressed with in less than 2 months, and there just aren't that many good games for the wii unless you're under 10.
Yeah...they should totally listen to you. I mean...they're obviously way behind PS3 and 360 in terms of install base and month on month sales figures, Nintendo software doesn't sell at all anymore nor chart on NPD or Media-Create, and, unlike Sony and MS, Nintendo has been losing money on each unit of hardware sold or has only recently stopped losing money on hardware. ... Oh, wait...no...no...reverse all of that. Including the listening to you part.
fine let the kids have their wii, but Nintendo should think about adult gamers too. Maybe the Wii did sell alot like you said, hell I waited outside BestBuy overnight for 12 hours the day before it was released. Pretty much everyone bought one, but more than 50% of the customers I hear talking about the system and games aren't satisfied. Maybe I should ask more kids under 10 and Ill get a different attitude about it.
I don't see Skate 3 on that list. Otherwise I'm only interested in Super Mario Galaxy 2, I loved the first one.
Nintendo has never though of only adult gamers. They're games are rated E for Everyone, with some T rated games sprinkled here and there, because they found out a long time ago that targeting the largest possible audience (people of all age groups) is the better strategy for them in terms of game development. The 3rd parties, then, have to pick up the slack. So far the only 3rd party understanding that they can fill a niche by targeting older Wii owners than Nintendo does is Sega. You have a Wii? Great. Did you buy: Madworld House of the Dead: Overkill The Conduit Manhunt 2 The Godfather: Black Hand Edition No More Heroes Bully: Scholarship Edition ? If not, why? And count yourself among the consumers who didn't. Why would developers go through the trouble of developing software that isn't likely to be purchased? It's not that "casuals" or "kids" are the only ones who own a Wii. So what, exactly, gives? I will state that Nintendo hasn't helped matters by refusing to publish Fatal Frame IV in the US and Europe...even though Nintendo published the game in Japan. And even though it scored well in Famitsu. That said...it only sold less than 75,000 units over there.
I did not create the list but the release date is TBA not confirmed for 2010. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diablo_III
