If you're living in a certain country the code won't be valid even if you're using a US account. E.g. India. just send the code to a most trusted friend or family member, and let your friend gift the wanted apps totaling $25 (plus tax) to you. Assuming they don't live in India or certain countries. Don't let that $25 iTunes gift card go to waste Take note: I don't know if people from the US could gift apps to people in different country
I was going to say to be fair the competition was for a $25 itunes voucher. I live in the UK so if i won that it wouldnt work for me as my account only accepts vouchers in pounds. As the person above says, give it to a friend who can use it and get them to gift you apps. But people cant complain if they enter a competition for say dollars and then they cant get the code to work in their country if they win. If people cant use vouchers which are dollars then please do not enter The user who won to be fair left a review in the US app store so you would assume he lives in the US, if thats the case there shouldnt be a problem (Also be nice if 'some' users contributed to the site instead of only posting here to win competitions/promo codes !)
I don't think that's the case if you are living in a different country and you try to redeem a code of another country it says in which country the code is valid. If it says the code is invalid then that means the code is not correct. At least that's what I have experienced.
I learn something new today I guess Parviz could send the code to charity instead since he can't use it I heard there is a UnhappyUnlucky Foundation going on around here lol
This is very interesting to me. Would most of you prefer PayPal then? It's actually easier for me as well.
Or you could just 'move' to the U.S. There are plenty of guides on how to make an account once you 'move' there. I think that was subtle enough
There was some miscommunication, but I still haven't received my prize - even though it's been over 2 and a half weeks. However, I know that Steve always does give out his prizes eventually; he's a trustworthy and good dev. Maybe it's due to the holidays and we all know how crazy life gets during this time
