I've never understood having an app to store all your passwords in. If I were a hacker that would be the first place to look. Just name a document wedding plans or something else like that that nobody would ever want to look at.
I don't know whether it detects that you've had the previous version installed or that you've actually run it. I guess you'll just have to try it and hope for the best. For what it's worth it looks like they've included all of the important functionality in the free version.
Not sure I'll use it but I hit iTunes on my PC and locked in the license for the ios8 version. Went back to my 4S with 6.1.3 and it offered to download the previous version (4.3.2). So it's nice it's not locked out for the past version.
Is anyone have issues with TouchID support in 1Password? Sometimes I can use TouchID to unlock my vault, and sometimes I can not. It's frustrating. I don't know if it's a bug with 1Password or with TouchID.
People don't usually hack individual devices they hack websites. Having strong and unique passwords for each website outways the risk of storing them in a password protection program.
