Alright. I used up all my 8 GB in my iPod Touch. And I asked if my friend would want to trade his 2G 16 GB iPod for my 1G iPod 8GB and money.

My question is how much money I should give him that would be a good deal for me and enough to make him accept.

Reason he's considering of trading iPods is cause mine is jailbroken.

EDIT: Would it be better if I buy my own 2nd Gen ipod Touch 16GB and sell my 1st gen 8GB somewhere?

    $100 - $150 in my opinion.

But I'm not the best with prices. xD

Actually when I was talking with him about this I was like "I'll give you my iPod and $150 for yours" I didn't know if that was too much.So I asked all my other friends if it was a good deal or not. I got mixed answers. :S

Would it be better if I buy my own 2nd Gen ipod Touch and sell my 1st gen somewhere?

$100 sounds good. Add more software on your JB one and charge him more :p.

Would 100$ be enough to MAKE him do the deal?

I agree buy your own and gain even more space between two devices keeping one as a back-up disk

100 bucks and half (in gen and size) a device is a crap deal to offer to a suppose'd "friend" that deal really only benefits you imo

Well. If I do buy a 16gb I'd like to sell my old one. Get some money out of it. I'm not rich you know. ;P (Saving up for snowboard gear too)

100 bucks and Half... Do you mean 150$ is a good deal?

I'd personally (having a 16GB 2G) want around the 200 hundred dollars (Australian tho..) if I was to do that, but I really think I'd need a lot more to actually do it..
I think if I was in your position, I'd wait til September and check out what the iPod touch 3G is like. In the mean time just sort out what you want and don't want on it. Get rid of movies, cos you don't really watch them that much and if you have that much music, I'd find it hard to believe you like all of it..

I had the first gen iTouch and I bought with costco, then the 2g came out and so I traded in my 8gig first gen for a 16gig 2g and all I did was send $10 more cause I then bought through apple

    So you got screwed man
You should just buy an iPod classic for your music and movies and pics
And leave the rest to your iTouch (I.e Internet, games, apps, who the he'll knows what)
