Never tried the first one. twistedmind87 Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2013 166 0 0 #17 twistedmind87, Aug 7, 2013 Last edited: Aug 7, 2013 Me neither lol - In story mode you're time gives you a star ratings, it doesn't appear the stars unlock levels though. Although the times are linked via GC and are displayed in a score menu. I wouldn't say it's Mario like at all, you rush through the levels trying to get three stars, with each level being about two minutes. There are 6 sets of 4 levels in the story mode. Only played first few levels though so there maybe more depth and thinking required later on. Iap for $.99 / £.69 to double coins, health, magnet and unlock retro graphics. *Edit* You need one star to pass the level twistedmind87 Well-Known Member Apr 21, 2013 166 0 0 #18 twistedmind87, Aug 7, 2013 Last edited: Aug 7, 2013 Race mode is the same level design as story except against three other ghost 'bad guy' players. You can take you're time with the levels and still play through the game, I did first few times then went for the three stars. I think it's to give the game replay value and add in that competing streak to get leader board scores. I hope later on it opens up a little the first few levels are extremely easy, controls are great though and it all works well, but the emphasis is definetly on completing levels as quick as possible. The coins collected can be used for constumes and stuff like that, if that's you're thing! *Edit* Things open up around level four, with the game gradually introducing things and upping the difficulty. The iap is in no way needed. I completed the first three chapters in under 15 minutes. Two stars on each level, loosing no life's. It's a great little game, but I think for me it's going to be a little too short. My advice would be to space things out if you can, try to find all coins and 3 star before moving on, to get the most from it! GC doesn't interest me, but I'm sure there are some here who will love the GC thing! Now I'm deleting my save and starting again taking my time! oldgamer dude Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2013 487 0 0 #19 oldgamer dude, Aug 7, 2013 Thanks for the imps, I may have to check this out after all. seanvstherobots Member May 9, 2012 6 0 0 Musician Scotland #20 seanvstherobots, Aug 7, 2013 Awwww yes..
