It is a bit more challenging than the first game, but that's a good thing. Overall, it doesn't seem unbalanced. I also don't know who in their right mind would pay $99.99 for $5,000,000 in in-game cash when the best jet ski is $300,000 (upgrades do cost additional, but still far from warranting the need for $5 million). The game gives enough in race winnings as well as additional money from leveling up that you can upgrade at a decent pace. For the later races, can't say for absolute sure, but I think IAPs are optional at this point. The Upgrade Points are used to upgrade your Jet-Ski and make it faster or improve the handling .
