Aaaaaand Bought! But it's sad to see Rovio still not doing any universal builds even when they publish some games...
Been waiting for this for aaaaages!! Finally arrived. I did not expect this at all and was actually going to ask if there was a similar game for iPad. So happy now.
Just saw the game had released and posted this same sentiment on twitter. Icebreaker has been on my running list of apps to watch since about October. I just hate having to choose between versions, especially on games like this and Angry Birds where the iPad version is really just a zoomed out view of the iPhone version. :/
I really wish that if devs are going to go this route and charge more for a seperate iPad version that they'd at least make the iPad version universal.
You know, in this case there really isn't any excuse for the HD version not to be universal. I'd imagine iPhone users would probably not care for bigger assets and whatnot, but guess what? Icebreaker HD, uncompressed is *drumroll* 38 MBs.
It was a fun game back in 2009! Here's the (old) Flash version of Ice Breaker http://www.kongregate.com/games/nitrome/icebreaker
Yep, it's just Rovio trying their hand at publishing rather than developing. Expect Tiny Thief to also be under Rovio Stars.
well this is an extremely polished quality game .. and with funny dialog too. really enjoying it and the art style and animations are great!
Game Centre is not in because it did not seem to enhance what we wanted to get in the game for launch. We do have some cool thoughts on what we could do with Game Centre but it would have taken even more time. We would like to explore it in an update at some point.
The game is great and I really love the art style. Hopefully it will do well, as it deserves to, and we will see plenty of updates (a la Rovio) including Game Center support. One thing that seems a bit strange to me is that the game does not seem to care about how many cuts you take on a level other then to keep track of your best. Am I missing anything?
