Pixel King developer here! Really happy to see some early interest in my game. I'll try to answer any questions you guys might have! Strivemind, regarding currency and progress, you acquire more currency by defeating, or simply doing well against an opponent's army. The bigger the foe the more you get! There is an optional IAP to purchase more gold, but this isn't designed to be some evil IAP-is-the-only-way-to-progress game! I'm not a fan of that model at all. strivemind Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2010 2,784 2 38 Designer Ottawa, Canada http://www.strivemind.com/ #10 strivemind, May 15, 2013 So how do you acquire new block and unit types? Do you just buy them with gold, or is there some sort of minecraft-esque collecting/digging to it? gormster Well-Known Member Sep 24, 2011 131 0 16 #11 gormster, May 15, 2013 At present all blocks in the game are bought, rather than being unlocked or crafted. However, I have a lot of ideas for future block and unit upgrades which I intend to release through regular updates, and tying that in to some sort of crafting or discovery aspect could be interesting! So you start with a small amount of supplies and depending on how well you do, you earn more? So do you have a running total through the levels or does it reset between levels? The battle gameplay is technically single-player, with the enemy army controlled by the computer. However, the fortresses and armies you will be facing are those of other players, which have been automatically uploaded and stored.
