Hello, I'm gimblll (http://twitter.com/gimblll) and I just finished a game called Cosmic Mechanic and it's now available globally on App Store. Cosmic Mechanic is a building game for iPad (works on iPad1 too), where you must build various vehicles and gadgets to traverse the different levels. It has 4 gameplay modes, and a total of about 50 levels. If anyone has any questions or anything, I'd be happy to answer them here. Thanks! To get back home, you must engineer vehicles out of whatever parts you find and traverse the alien portal network left behind by a long gone ancient civilization. Cosmic Mechanic is an exciting game about building cool gadjets and contraptions to navigate through many mind bending scenarios. Over 50 levels, 4 unique gameplay modes (puzzle, jump, time, collect) and lots of vehicle parts to experiment with. Reviews: * There really isn’t anything not to like about this game. It’s fun, creative, and and something the whole family can enjoy. -- thegamerwithkids.com * Offering up a solid collection of over fifty levels, Cosmic Mechanic is an entertaining adventure -- 148apps.com Information Seller:Kimmo Factor Oy Genre:Puzzle, Simulation Release:Apr 02, 2013 Updated:Dec 19, 2021 Version:1.0.9 Size:63.1 MB TouchArcade Rating:Unrated User Rating: (6) Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal Gameplay videos: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Lots of user made videos available here: https://everyplay.com/cosmic-mechanic oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #2 oooooomonkey, Apr 3, 2013 Hmmm this looks quite cool I might check it out. slewis7 Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 3,768 41 48 Male Retired! Much more freedom to build than bad piggies. It really reminds me of fantastic contraption. amdreh Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2013 227 0 0 Brazil #5 amdreh, Apr 3, 2013 Is it available on the brazilian App Store? gimblll Well-Known Member Jan 11, 2012 145 40 28 Helsinki, Finland http://www.gimblll.com #6 gimblll, Apr 3, 2013 I'm sorry it's not, at least yet. The reason is that Apple handles taxes differently in certain countries than others and I don't currently have the resources to find out how I should do things there. It would be nice to hear some feedback. I made a new video where I played it 15 minutes from the start. (contains spoilers to the puzzles!) amdreh Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2013 227 0 0 Brazil #9 amdreh, Apr 6, 2013 It's impossible not to compare with Bad Piggies. I've played the free version of Bad Piggies and found it too childish and silly. On the other hand I'm enjoying Cosmic Mechanic very much! It has more inteligent puzzles, envolves physics in a better way. It's not only a matter of designing it right, it's a mater of control it and get over the obstacles as well. There is something of Hill Climb Racing. There are things that need some improvements, for example the music that repeat too much, but it's for sure a highly enjoyable game. I recommend it! oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #10 oooooomonkey, Apr 6, 2013 I'm really enjoying this. Maybe even more so than bad piggies as this feels like a cross between bad piggies and fantastic contraption. You get your parts to build what ever you like with the aim being on a normal stage to get your astronaut to the finish zone, but there's also bonus stages that are time trials and long jump events. After building your "thing" you can map the movement to 8 different buttons meaning that you can use one button to control all the moving parts or you can have different buttons to move/activate separate parts. It looks like there's quite a few levels to play through and so far I'm having more fun with this than I did with bad piggies or fantastic contraption as here you have total control over your vehicle. I'm at the stage now where I can use wheels if I like but instead I'm going for fancy walking leg style vehicles. The graphics are nice enough and it looks nice on my ipad4. the physics are spot on exactly what yours expect if you've played any of these contraption building games, things bounce and can break and everything works how it should. Well worth picking up if you like this type of game. oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #11 oooooomonkey, Apr 7, 2013 Just wanted to share a couple of things I've made to try and finish levels here. has anyone else played this? MidianGTX Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2009 3,738 10 38 #14 MidianGTX, Apr 8, 2013 This game is fantastic... and I'm terrible at it. The fact I can keep playing despite all my failures is a huge testament to how enjoyable it is. Editing and tweaking my vehicle over and over again just doesn't seem to get dull. Sometimes I'll progress a little further, sometimes I'll mess up somewhere and barely make it halfway, but every time it's a joy to watch the physics at work. I'm a fan of any game involving construction and physics simulations and managed to blow through Bad Piggies in a day, but this is different. Like oooooomonkey mentioned, it feels like you get much more control over your creation when you hit the start button, rather than just sitting back and watching it do its thing. I'm even quite fond of the coder graphics, which is a pretty good compliment coming from someone as picky as I am. I'm not even a third of the way through the game yet, but I'm already dreading getting to the end. I hope it gets noticed by someone and gets a nice sales boost because hidden gems aren't as much fun for their developers as they are for the players. Failing that, I hope the dev just enjoys working on it enough to keep going and add a little more. I think there's something quite special here and I'd like to see it go further. amdreh Well-Known Member Mar 26, 2013 227 0 0 Brazil #15 amdreh, Apr 8, 2013 I'm loving this game!
