You have a team of monkeys, zombies, ninjas, pirates, and aliens which you are trying connect before your opponents. We have taken the board game and made it accessible on iOS. Whether you know it was a originally a board game or not, we hope it is a great iOS game. A team of talented developers was lead on this project by, myself, Bradley Cummings, editor of iOS Board Games on BoardGameGeek (www.iosboardgames.com). I had the chance to go from reviewing games to trying my hand at designing and producing one. It was a moment of putting my money where my mouth is. Tysen Streib a talented AI designer made challenging AI opponents of many difficulties and play styles. There will be hours of puzzling with these computer opponents. Martin Grider (Oppo Citrus, Chesstris) tied it all together with his excellent development. I have also included an interview we did with Wired last week. We envisioned this initial release as the kind of game you can pull out quickly on the bus or on the toilet...haha meskue New Member Dec 17, 2012 1 0 0 #10 meskue, Dec 17, 2012 Full disclosure: I designed the original For The Win board game However, that was several years ago and beta testing this new digital version has absolutely re-kindled my love for the game. Playing against a human opponent has always been fun, but the different AI settings are simply brilliant. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I've been stomped by the AI on multiple occasions, even on the easier levels. I've been practicing quite a bit since the testing started, but even now the games are a challenge. The design team has done an outstanding job making the game as intuitive as possible. Anyone familiar with the original game can jump right in and the tutorial is straightforward for those who are new to the game. It is just a wall of text and dumps me into the game at the end of it. Pretty harsh for a casual game like this. Then there are totally no hints when playing my first game and suddenly the CPU wins even though it doesn't have five in a row. FPE Well-Known Member Sep 25, 2010 3,031 0 0 World, now Belgium #18 FPE, Dec 18, 2012 I agree the tutorial is not the best. It is always best to have a tutorial game, but I have seen worse. Te game is just ... Well, right now after one game I am total lost. iOSBoardGames Member Dec 6, 2012 13 0 0 #19 iOSBoardGames, Dec 18, 2012 Thanks for the feedback on the tutorial. We will look in to improving that in an update. Also if you click the question mark icon during the game it can give you a reminder of everything on the board. One hint is to try another AI opponent. Vain for example can be easier to beat. Pedroapan Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2010 313 0 16 #20 Pedroapan, Dec 18, 2012 Played two games against easiest balanced AI and managed to win both, although I'm having a hard time getting around the strategy, since there are som many possibilities. It seems more like a tactical game for me, but maybe I'll pick up on the strategic element of it. Very nice app though, even if the Tutorial is textbased. As suggested by others a playthrough would be better. I may be be a noob but the 10-15 minute playtime stated by the info isn't by far enough for me. My first two games clocked in around 25 minutes each and then there was only one player thinking. Maybe when learning the strategics more, the playtime will speed up for me. Looking forward to Universal and Async mp. //Pedroapan (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
