So far... damn what an awesome little beatemup! And even without the coin doubler, you earn quite a bit of coins, and are able to power up Gumball fairly quickly. The controls; You're able to touch and drag anywhere on the left side of the screen to move, and tap the right side to attack. There's not multiple attacks, but there are combos, and a special attack (that recharges) with an icon at the top of the screen. No visual controls, but they work well, as you might have expected if you're familiar with any other GFS titles. =oD Thanks guys! This game just made my week! **edit** Oh... haha... you're able to switch characters with a wheel in the top right corner, and can charge your attacks by holding down on the right side of the screen... Before I post any more, i'm going to play more just so I don't talk outta my bum anymore. =oP ***** I'm... in love. Really, thank you Grumpyface! This is easily my GOTW. I went ahead and purchased some coins on each of my devices as well - this game is easily worth more than a buck or two - to me at least. It's the beatemup that I've been hoping for on the iOS. To anyone wondering - the game plays just fine on my 4th gen touch - there is some minor slowdown when the screen gets a bit full of enemies - but nothing game breaking - and I should also say that I haven't done a hard reset in about a week... so... =oP ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #7 ninjackid, Dec 13, 2012 Wow. Due to SV's glowing impressions up there, my interest is indeed piqued. EDIT: Just played through 8 levels (three starring them all ) and damn, SV hit the nail right on the head with his impressions, as asual. I've been looking for a good beat 'em up on iOS, but I've been plenty disappointed (Beatdown, I'm looking at you...), but man, I'm pretty sure this game is the best beat 'em up I've played on iOS, it's just one of those games where everything just feels right. Most definitely worth the buck. Thanks very much for the kind words and support And great suggestion regarding showing the 3 star score requirements.. we'll keep that in mind and see if it's something we can add in the future. For now, my best advice would be to always do what you can to keep your Combo multiplier going as long/high as possible -- that's definitely the number one way to assure high scores and 3 star ratings MicroByte Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2008 1,328 0 36 in a van down by the river... #14 MicroByte, Dec 13, 2012 Saw this pop up this morning and it looks great! I watch the show with my kids and think it's pretty decent. Gumball + beat em up - I'm going to pick this up later! Was worried it might be too kiddie for me. But damn, it's really fun and one of the better beat 'em ups I've played in a while. Would love to see a variation of the game geared to an older audience (blood and all, of course ). Think it would be a huge hit since some may pass seeing the Gumball show title (although I'm sure this will still do well particularly with that audience). Especially the first season, which is available on DVD now. Very clever and funny stuff We actually weren't familiar with it before starting development on the game, but obviously watched and studied it as we started working with Cartoon Network, and we very quickly fell in love with the characters and the world. (Especially the Dad, who is so hilarious that we just had to find a few fun places to use him in the game!) So when I saw this it was an instabuy with a gifted copy to my kids as well! Sadly this turned out to be a better beat em up than some of the ones I had been anticipating this year that have released! A high recommend for fans and fans of the genre!
