I did enjoy Dungeons & Dice, and this is by the same developer. But like LordGek is asking, if this doesn't have AI, I'll just stick with the original.
Cool, this fills my Talisman fix until Talisman comes out. I liked Dungeon & Dice too, but it lack a certain something and made the game drag on a little too long. Still a good game nonetheless! I will be grabbing this as soon as it is available!
It's a roleplaying board game if that makes any sense. Much like the game that inspired it (Talisman) and many others that improved it (Runebound, Munchkin, Descent, Starcraft the board game, etc). You get a character, go around the board, doing quests, getting treasure, fighting monsters, inevitably trying to get powerful enough to take out the big bad evil in the center. PVP and even working together was allowed in the rules to other actual physical board games, though I can't remember if Dungeon & Dice had any rules for such (I remember it being single player only).
Looking at the screens I am realizing that this IS Dungeons & Dice, albeit with a graphical update and what seems some reworking to the underwood design! Hmm, conflicted... I still own Dungeon & Dice and have it backed up, but having a new universal form with hopefully enhancements and tweaks makes this interesting. The only thing that I am really wondering is if there is no single player to speak of. If that is the case I may have to pass. Playing multiplayer is nice, but not always an option or desirable for me personally... Hopefully some one can chime in and clear this up!
Yeah, I think we've been asking for AI opponents ever since the first Dungeons and Dice came out years ago. It's cool that you want to make money with a new app and all, although it really just looks like a slightly tweaked and reformed version of the last update to Dungeons and Dice, but you could have assured that even long time owners of D&D paid for this if it had AI. Without it, I doubt many of us are going to pay for what we already have.
Is gameplay in turns? If so, why on Earth would you settle for realtime multiplayer (as opposed to realtime multiplayer that seamlessly goes asynchronous when one player goes offline), devs?
Didn't see the thread...saw it on an apptrckwr and grabbed it. Well, it's installed...does it use Gamecenter? Invites don't really work on ios 5.1.1, right? I would have to be in a game to request one?
Invites work on ios 5.1.1, but you have to invite your friends in a game. Because we found that there are bugs between ios 4.x+5.x and ios 6.x. 1) If you invite "your friend with ios 6.x device" in the gamecenter on ios 4.x+5.x, "your friend with ios 6.x device" can not receive any notifications and requests. 2) If you invite your friends with ios 6.x in the gamecenter, you can not choose how many players you want to play with. And on ios 6.x, "2-4 players" means that if 2 players are ready, game starts with 2 players after 5 seconds... and if 3 players are ready, game starts with 3 players after 5 seconds... and if 4 players are ready, game starts with 4 players after 5 seconds. In other words, on ios 6.x, "2-4 players" means "with 2-4 random players at that time" . So if you want to play Hroogar with 4 players, you must choose "4-4 players". To select this option, you have to invite your friends in a game with 4 players ("4-4 players option"). In conclusion, you can play Hroogar with your 2 friends and 1 auto match player because of this option in a game. Thank you.
Hroogar and Dungeons&Dice are totally different. But I can say that Icon, Interface(Layout) and Top-screen are very similar between the two. Hroogar is inspired by League of Legends & Zelda. Once you clear Hroogar, you can understand the difference.
