Meganoid 2 is NOW live on the app store! In his younger days, Grandpa meganoid was an adventurer, which is just a great excuse for us to grab the best ideas from Indiana Jones, Tombraider and even the Librarian movies, and throw them all at you in an unfair way just to see if you can survive! With over a million gamers worldwide, the original Meganoid might have been the cause for an increase of smashed phones, swearing, institutionalising and a couple of other big words. So we figured we could create Meganoid 2 and make it just as DAMN HARD! Meganoid2 comes with 60 levels, and we plan to add more levels in the coming updates! ! warning, THIS GAME IS HARD but fair! if you don’t like it, go shoot birds at pigs, run in endless temples or cut fruit in half ! Again: this game is not easy! You will need to bring your best game skills to complete the short but hard levels. Meganoid gets most of it’s inspiration from 80s and 90s games. ** THIS GAME IS NOT EASY! Each challenging level can be completed within a few seconds of gaming, making the pace of the game pretty fast, but many levels require multiply tries to complete. New levels will be added in updates - So tell your friends to download this game now! ** GAME PLAY! - complete a level to earn a level star - complete the level within the time limit to earn the time-trophy - find the (hidden) treasure in evera level to earn the treasure-trophy ** GAME STYLE Meganoid 2 comes in full 8bit retro pixelart style, complete with chiptune and sound effects, we love this style, and it fits the genre! The game is set in an adventurous environment with tombs, temples, skulls, arrows, traps, boulders, snakes and bats! Enjoy being killed repeatedly by often unavoidable traps and objects until you know they're coming? Fond of elaborate memory tests masquerading as tiny platforming levels? Partial to being conditioned to feel paranoid to take the tiniest step? I guess this one's for you then. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #9 awp69, Nov 21, 2012 I'm really not sure I can spare space for this one... All the other Orangepixel games, including Meganoid 1 support GC. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #11 syntheticvoid, Nov 21, 2012 Yeah, it's also weird that you can die an infinite amount of times without getting a game over. =o/ But so far... LOVING IT!! The little subtitle hints for all the hazards... The hidden items... One little thing -- when running, and changing direction, it's not as quick as it is in Meganoid 1. It does feel more realistic, needing that little bit of ground to actually slow down before changing direction, and don't know if it's intentional, but it's just kinda strange ATM. I'm sure I'll get use to it, and eventually prefer it... Just wanted to let others know first impressions. Anyway... So far, it's fantastic. I hope GC is added, even if leaderboards aren't added because of the infinite life thing, but achievements would be awesome. THANK YOU ORANGEPIXEL!!!!
