Each mage uses five magical elements during a duel - Fire, Water, Air and Earth, plus a fifth related to the specific mage type. Players are able to duel against the computer or against other online players live. How do you unlock the rest? EDIT: nevermind, I found the two IAPs. sizzlakalonji Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Apr 16, 2009 5,712 1 0 Indiana, USA #4 sizzlakalonji, Aug 26, 2012 This is actually pretty nice. I accidentally bought the standard version and played a few games at 2x on my iPad. Then I saw this version. Dammit. Since it was clear that it was more than an upscaled version, I went ahead and got this too. Oh, well. I think it's worth it, they did a nice job. amn624 Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2008 1,273 0 0 publisher Nassau County, NY #5 amn624, Aug 26, 2012 Can't find the IAPs. Is the asynch or just synch? mrbass Well-Known Member Oct 7, 2008 2,210 0 0 United States of America http://mrbass.org/iphone/bestgames #6 mrbass, Aug 26, 2012 http://spectromancer.com/cardlist_en.htm To get an overview of all the cards see that. In the help section, which btw can be accessed during gameplay (some games can't) it has an card listing for each and every card. Let me paraphrase from the HELP section: Each mage uses 5 magical elements (Fire, Water [typo in help btw Warer], Air, Earth) and the fifth depends on mage type. 6 mages Cleric uses Holy Power Mechanician uses Mechanics Necromancer uses Death Chaosmaster uses Chaos Dominator uses Control Illustionist uses Illusions To unlock the two IAPs play one single game vs. an AI opponent then enter Campaign mode and where you choose the type of mage you wish to play you'll see the lock icon. League of Heroes Expansion Classes $1.99 Demonologist uses Demonic Sorcerer uses Sorcery Beastmaster uses Beasts Truth and Beauty Expansion Classes $1.99 Goblin Chieftain uses Goblins Made Hermit uses Forest (like the Enraged Beaver) Chronomancer uses Time The CAMPAIGN mode is extensive. You can choose 3 different opponents and upon successfully defeating an opponent you get to choose 1 or 2 cards to have an upgraded ability. This is kind of the premise of the new kickstarter iOS game Solforge (same designer Richard Garfield) except leveling up will be within the same game 3 times. Also before each battle in Campaign you can change difficulty of opponent (Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard). You can create many campaigns and delete old ones if you wish. I hope though once a card is upgraded it'll remain upgraded even if that campaign is deleted in which that particular card was upgraded. I'll assume it is. I couldn't get LAN play to work with two ipads (ipad 2 and ipad 3). Still trying to buy it for my iphone. Think it may have been removed. I'm glad I got to play Kard Combat as it introduced me to how excellent a game this is. Spectromancer has ability to save your game and replay it (slow, normal, fast, very fast) if you wish. The in game log is extensive and if you just got utterly destroyed big time you can click on the card in the log file to see it's abilities and description. No asynch I doubt it. A game, if not in realtime, would take forever I believe but I could be wrong about this as I only created an account online but yet to play online yet. There were 36 players online on one of the 5 realms (servers). This is by far going to be the most played game for quite sometime I'd imagine. I didn't like playing Kard Combat in potrait mode on the ipad. This one is in landscape mode on ipad. For people new to this game it does have a HINT button called "Get Advice" and it'll prompt you which card is ideal to play. Once you memorize all the cards the gameplay is extremely fast. When you start a game quickly scan all your cards which you have at play not just the ones you can summon at the time. It allows you to plan ahead for future turns. Music in game is decent but ultimately I prefer to listen to my own music but the sounds effects are pretty cool. Anyone know what in the options "Customize random class" means? By default all of the 12 mages classes are checked. Even though there were only 200 cards (if Kong had the same amount) the tactical decisions seemed much more plentiful than for example your usual Magicthe Gathering deck. There is only one thing that makes me hesitant about buying this game right away; I'm not sure how long the single player campaign is. Then again with that price tag I believe the game is much more than worth it even with shorter gampaign. Edit: Bah! The iPhone version link doesn't work and searching in the AppStore won't find it either. Guess I need to wait a day or so.
