By reading the description, there doesn't seem to be that much different worth the high cost of the game, but maybe it is major upgrade. Strange, cave usually has an early adopters sale, but this game doesn't seem to have it. Dang seems they added a ton of inapps too bad tops2 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2011 2,083 56 48 #5 tops2, Jun 22, 2012 The IAP info is also on Cave's site under "Custom Edit": http://www.cave-world.com/en/games/bugprincess2-blacklabel.html metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #6 metalcasket, Jun 22, 2012 Remember when everyone was speculating CAVE would start making farming games? I mean aside from IAPs? I have every Cave game so far on iOS, but can't justify paying another £20 on a slightly harder version. Cave is farming money from the most loyal fans and test their limit of how much to spend on Cave ports. =P People new to the genre is already scared by the $5 for some of the Cave's ports. Yeah..as someone who enjoys these games from time to time, but never really fully getting into the scoring system, to me, this and Bug Princess 2 will probably feel pretty much the same. I wonder how much difference the more casual players of these games will be able to tell. Not mentioning the ridiculous IAP set... Khamous Well-Known Member Aug 15, 2009 2,301 0 0 #15 Khamous, Jun 22, 2012 So wait, this is a new game mode for which you have to pay an extra $5 and a new difficulty, and to *access* them you have to pay an additional $15? This is ridiculous! I was really looking forward to BL (didnt get BP2 just because of that), but this is beyond insane. aeranth Well-Known Member May 8, 2012 91 0 6 #16 aeranth, Jun 22, 2012 Um, can you say... Black-lash? Typically, I'm not one to harp on premium pricing as I firmly believe in supporting and growing the premium iOS space. As a general rule though, if a developer chooses to charge a premium for their game, I firmly believe that iap should not be present at all, or extremely limited. This seems so egregious that I am barely able to parse out what I'm even 'buying'... zeth Active Member Feb 8, 2012 44 0 0 #17 zeth, Jun 22, 2012 This is the most excited I've ever been for an iOS release. This just made my weekend. $14 is a steal considering it's not available inside the US. That's roughly the price they charged for the 360 DLC anyway. Can't say I'm surprised at all by the sentiment here though, this is a community where people wait for sales on $1 games and complain that they aren't supported with free content forever. djflippy Well-Known Member Mar 9, 2009 4,441 0 36 #18 djflippy, Jun 22, 2012 Are any of the negative comments on this game from people that have actually played it? I have yet to play it on iPhone, so I can't comment on port quality, but I have the Black Label version on xbox and it is fabulous. There is no point in enumerating those differences until we see what made it over to the iPhone release. I would assume that this is targeted at people that appreciate the differences between black and "white" label versions. If you are not one of those people, this is not likely to be for you. If you are one of those people, you've been dying since day one for CAVE to release Black Label versions for iOS. For those that may be interested, but haven't had the opportunity to play a BL version before, while the tweaks are sometimes nuanced, but very meaningful gameplay tuning, other times they are important enough that people never go back to the vanilla version. Khamous Well-Known Member Aug 15, 2009 2,301 0 0 #19 Khamous, Jun 22, 2012 It isn't about the $14 people in this topic are complaining. If anyone here was waiting for the game, the price was to be expected. What I find outrageous is that the *NEW* and advertised game mode is not included in said $14 price point, it only includes what you already had access to in past iterations. To get access to this new mode is another $5~$7 in the form of IAP, which the game is full of. So the "sentiment" here comes from paying more for exactly the same, which is specially worse if you already have both games like most people here do, and the adv. of having both games? You get to play the new game mode once a day. Is that reasonable? Phoenix24 Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 7, 2012 312 0 0 Lancashire, England #20 Phoenix24, Jun 22, 2012 I accept that Cave produce quality titles but how can they justify $14 just for the entry to the game (when you can buy BP1 & 2 for less) plus another $12 or so to experience the full game. I would consider paying $14 for the full game but feel that the iap on top of this is ridiculous. Each Cave game has sold around 6k copies judging by GC scores but would be surprised if half buy this one. I am not a $1 sale scavenger and am happy to support worthy devs but feel that anyone who blindly pays this just because they are Cave fanboys are mugging themselves.
